Ok, so no counter top. Keys?
Spike's Bitches 40: Buckle Up, Kids! Daddy's Puttin' the Hammer Down.
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
I'll stick with scotch.
Next time you're in San Francisco we'll go to the Alembic and you can get the Vieux Carre. Which is a super tasty whisky cocktail with Peychaud and Angostora bitters and maybe cognac.
Or Scotch since they have about nine thousand different kinds.
But the Vieux Carre is NOT carbonated. Also? Really tasty.
Just got back from seeing Little Grandma in the hospital. She was just out of the recovery room from surgery and looked wonderful. There were about 10 of us there so she was a bit overwhelmed and of course still drugged. She was insisting that we were only making a big fuss because she was 97. I told her we would have fussed just as much when she was 96. The big scary thing was the anesthesia, but she came through just fine. Tough old bird. They are saying that they will try and get her walking tomorrow. Wow.
Tired now.
I also have a weird thing with cocktails as opposed to straight liquor. I would happily try one though. I'd just likely enjoy it, and then go back to my scotch.
Also...
Next time you're in San Francisco
Reading those words make me really wistful. I miss y'all and y'alls' city.

That is to say, come back Daisy we love you!
Hellooooo Bitches! I skipped and skimmed to catch up so hugs to alls what needs them.
Race weekend (with bonus Queen Mary) pics start here.
In the spirit of Earth Day, and utterly failing to surprise ANYONE here, I'm sure, let me share the e-card that I sent to my brother: [link]
I cannot drink beer. It's the carbonation-I don't drink sodas either, or champagne.
Apparently I am Daisy Jane, though I make the occasional exception for champagne.
And separately, I must tattle on my daughter. She got her latest report card. Her gpa is 4.4 . Once again, how is she mine???
I'm with Mme Bollinger when it comes to Champagne.
“I drink it when I’m happy and when I’m sad. Sometimes I drink it when I’m alone. When I have company I consider it obligatory. I trifle with it if I’m not hungry and drink it when I am. Otherwise, I never touch it – unless I’m thirsty.”
