Doesn't matter that we took him off that boat, Shepherd, it's the place he's going to live from now on.

Because books.

Jess's hair is wonderful! Cut and color.

Good news on the car sale, Daniel!

I'm so sorry to hear about your mom, Susan. Birthday wishes to Annabel, though.

Also, crossposted with Natter, thanks for my birthday wishes! There's sunshine here today, and there will be cake later, so I'm knee-deep in happy.

Trust my rage

Thanks too for my birthday wishes. Ellie, Frisco, and I flee back to Pierto Rico today. We were one of two families not going on a cruise.

I also learned today that airplane seat cushions are easily replaceable when Ellie had an accident (she refused to go at home, wanting to wait instead for the super cool airplane toilet.)

I’d be lying if I didn’t say that I miss them all tonight…

Jessica, I love the blonde!! I miss mine, but not the upkeep.

Cash, I think you should try a super-deep brown/red first. Definitely don't go to the blue-black - that wouldn't look so hot on you. But I know there's some red-blacks out there (that fade to burgundy) that should work. (Just don't go with Feria, please.)

Now tagless for your comfort.

juliana, I've done a rich, dark brown with some success several years ago--it was as dark as I've done. And the reds compliment my coloring, I know enough to shy away from blue-black. No way I could pull that off. I'm going to look for as dark brown as I can get without going black, first and see what happens. I'll do a professional job, I won't try a box with something this drastic.

I look more rad than Lutheranism

Happy Birthday, Stephanie!!!

Jess, your hair looks fantastic!!!

As for me....I'm tired with my experiment in brown. I'm glad I did it, and I genuinely think it looks good, but....I don't *feel* like a brunette. I miss being blonde.

So at least I've gained some perspective on my perennial complaint that my blonde hair isn't "dramatic" or "exotic" or whatever bullshit whine I drag out from time to time.

I'm overdue for a cut, and then I'm going back to my blonde roots (pun intended).

"Fuck Western ideologically-motivated gender identification!" Sulu gasped, and came.

Man, Teppy, I was just thinking about you! For no particular reason!

And I'm glad you did the trying-to-be-brunette thing for me, because in this we are once more as one. I'm forever thinking about colouring it red or brown - but the thing is, I really do think of myself as blonde. And like being blonde.

Meanwhile - as of today, I have lost 2 stone (28lb). Go me!

You should know I'm a big deal in the Resistance.

Wow, losing one stone would be impressive enough. Why do you Brits make it so hard on yourselves? It's so much easier to lose a pound.

The status is NOT quo.

Happy Birthday, Amy!

Happy Birthday, Annabel!

Fay, WOW! Very impressive.

I had a lovely afternoon/evening with Omnis and got him thoroughly hooked on Stargate SG-1. Excellent way to spend my last day of vacation, I'd say.

Byron is recovering well and is very happy to not have to wear his collar anymore (no more angry flower). He also now has free run of the house. He's able to get up on the couch on his own, but the bed is too high. I've gotten him some steps, but they're not quite high enough, so I've ordered the extension set. The little bugger scooted under the bed about ten minutes ago, though, and I know he's going to want to get up on the bed in the middle of the night. I'm going to have to fish him out from under there if I don't want kitty trauma in a few hours. Fun!

I have to go back to work tomorrow, but I'm okay with that. I'm kind of excited to get back into that routine after two weeks of round-the-clock kitty care.

ETA: He came out on his own and is snuggled in to me. Yay! Night everyone.

omnis, pursue. That's an order from a shy woman who can use M-16. - Shir

I haz crack now! Yes, after visiting KT, where she FORCED me, twisting my arm in agony, to stay an extra 2 hours to watch the pilot of Stargate-1, she then demanded I smoke more crack.. er.. borrow season 1. Ok, so there wasn't any twisting. I've been a fan, but due to crazy work/(and probably then school) schedule pre DVR days, I didn't watch it regularly. So I happily borrowed the dvd's. Ssssh. Don't tell ND.

Yes, Byron is very cute, and seems very well adjusted. Funny, when he walks toward you, head on, you can't tell. It's only when he's to the side, or walking away that you really notice his unique gait. And, being one with a unique gait myself, I'm not gonna tease him.

I also learned that, with not traffic, it takes exactly one episode of This American Life from KT/ND place to mine... ok, so I was 5 steps away from my door, but close enough.

Laga, I have my DVR set up to record tomorrows episodes (both of them) Tuesday as well, just in case.
