Spike's Bitches 40: Buckle Up, Kids! Daddy's Puttin' the Hammer Down.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

The artist formerly associated with cupcakes.

It bothered me for a long time that we didn't cuddle all night, but that was unrealistic soap opera/romance novel expectations.

Yep. Cuddling all night would also mean getting randomly kicked, or overheating, or something like that. Or someone getting whapped on the head with Clovis.

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

Stephen and I always snuggle for a minute or two, spooning, and then we sprawl. Away from each other.

Have I mentioned how incredibly weird it is that you have MY NAME and my HUSBAND'S NAME but also apparently MY LIFE? Because, yeah, this, so very true.

He retired on the settlement.
Bless him.

I should be so lucky, but they haven't actually made any money that I know of. That I know of. I suppose I could find that out somehow.

A friend has a friend who's father invented the intermittent windshield wiper. His invention was stolen. 30 years later, after losing his family and his health, he won an enormous settlement and then died a few months later. Very sad.

DH would be in heaven with the prospect of separate covers.
I suggested twin sheets and blankets over a queen/king sized bed and a queen sized cover for show.

Or, better yet, two European duvet/flannel cover combos. That way, individual temperatures are maintained and you could still touch!

a few games of rock/paper/scissors have saved our marriage.

I have deep respect for this problem solving/decision making tool.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

Does it hurt your credit score to get a credit card just for the frequent flier miles and cancel it four months later? My dad is always wanting me to do those things.

Dude, it's like the coin toss, plus one.

Dude, it's like the coin toss, plus one.

Not much more complex, but infinitely more satisfying.

Because books.

We share a brain, too, I bet! Because we're very smart. And also very pretty.

Seekrit message to amych: We should totally take over the world.

Maria, Stephen pings me for cramming stuff in the garbage. Somehow it's much easier to balance the empty tissue box on top than actually remove the full bag and put in a new one... ::innocent face::

Our wings are not tired.

DH would be in heaven with the prospect of separate covers.

Dude would be in trouble if he tried to steal my blankee.

I should use rock, paper, scissors more often.

Speaking of which, I am never up at this hour. Must run and get comfy before DH-night-owl beats me. He doesn't get up at 6am.

Not so nice is that I'm about to ruin a Friday morning for a bunch of people because of a series of unfortunate events and an upset foreign government. - shrift

Yes. Each inquiry on your credit report remains for two years, and they will lower your score, sometimes substantially if you don't have much of a history. In today's credit climate, I wouldn't open up a new card unless it was a hell of a deal or I absolutely needed it. Closing card accounts can also damage your score by lowering the total amount of credit you have available and increasing your debt ratio if you carry a balance.

Amy, my DH hates it when I don't sweep up the bathroom in the morning. I shed--terribly--and he can't stand it. He once used the vacuum cleaner to clean out the tub (next to the sink, where I dry my hair) just to make a point.

edited to give Laura a good-night smooch.
