'Out Of Gas'

Spike's Bitches 40: Buckle Up, Kids! Daddy's Puttin' the Hammer Down.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

The lost sheep grow teeth, forsake their lambs, and lie with the lions.

I've been horrendously busy. Work, while not bad, has been sucking every bit of energy out of me. Plus, I hosted Easter dinner this weekend. I'll be making an LJ post about that later this week--lots of baking, lots of numminess, lots of TMI from my crazy aunt.

Oh! I've been meaning to point out this LJ community to you - I've been finding lots of great ideas in there.

Although, I do find it vaguely disturbing/very amusing that one of the mods of a cooking comm has the LJ handle of "longpig."

This is me too! I had to skip here for several days, because there just are not enough hours in the day. I hope this is not a trend that will continue, but I'm afraid it might.

Sorry work has been sucking your energy. Yay for Easter dinner! Boo for crazy aunt! Can't wait to see the LJ post about it.

Oh, fabulous! Thank you so much. Looks like fun!

I am currently completely restructuring my resume for an internship position that may be created for me. I'm terrified and excited at the same time. Things are really coming together on my thesis and for finishing school. This is going to actually happen, which is so amazing in some ways. Oh! And next semester they are testing a new class, which I'm hoping to take: Jane Austen! SO fabulous!

Yay vw! Glad things are going so well! You deserve some smooth going for a while.

Our wings are not tired.

Good morning horrendously busy ladies. Yeah, in that club too. I hate skippage, but 6:30am I have time, then not again until, well bedtime.

I know the terrified/excited thing all too well. I'll be keeping my fingers crossed for you.

Thanks, guys.

Things are going so well, actually, that I'm a little afraid of a shoe dropping somewhere. But, also trying not to focus on that much.

I actually got comments back from a prof on a paper the other day. Her main comment? It was "magnificent." Craziness!

Good Morning, early posters! I'm on central time, so not up as early as normal. Still, Frisco doesnot know that we have changed time zones.

Poor Frisco! At least you're only an hour off, rather than two.

I tried REALLY hard not to let myself adjust to central time when I was there over the weekend. It seems to have worked. But, you're there for like 3 weeks, right? I sure hope he adjusts!

{{{Scrappy}}} I'm so sorry. ~ma to you and to all your family.

Kristin, yes we're going to look at one apartment today and possibly one on Friday or Saturday. But we have to let our landlord know if we are keeping the apartment by Saturday, or they, "can't possibly hold it for us".

Yeah, we are here for almost 3 more weeks although I almost left yesterday. (that is a story for when I'm not on the iphone but let me just say that everyone was driving me crazy.)

My poor SIL is 39 weeks pregnant and threw her back out throwing away a piece of paper. She's currently on Vicodin which is not really good but she was in so much pain that she felt it was worth the risk.
