[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

Mmm, nuts are good. Especially in brownies!

No, no! Only female brownies for me.

Nuts in salad are good, though.

In the corner. Bad Debt gets a Time Out.

It's not bad. It's just drawn that way.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

I actually enjoy nuts in most everything

I hadn't thought about it that way, but that's probably my stance. For all nuts that are not almonds, of course.

Go, meara! The AmEx thing doesn't have an optional second line of address for the apt #? Weird.

Not so nice is that I'm about to ruin a Friday morning for a bunch of people because of a series of unfortunate events and an upset foreign government. - shrift

I enjoy nuts in salad.

I enjoy nuts in everything, and sometimes by themselves.

You don't know how much I would love that. Maybe this summer!

Flying is cheaper than the train, and gives us more time! I've got an extra bedroom, plus two cats and a beagle, to sweeten the pot. Plus there's Vortex, Hil, toddson, Raq, Sparky, and FredPete and Hubs. Mini-F2F!

JZ, I don't remember if I cursed your insane and inhuman ex-bosses yet. They are boils on the asses of pond scum. Bottom-feeders won't touch them because of professional courtesy, and I sincerely hope they wake up one day with a horse's head in their beds. They have no clue whatsoever. All the job~ma in the world to you.

Also, now I have to call the other people and tell them I don't want their job. Which is yay, but still scary. Like, OMG, what if something went wrong with this one?? Eep!

Can you hold off for a day or so until these people give you the rest of the details? I'd really want to have the entire package laid out and in writing before I throw the rest of the eggs out of the basket.

Bwah, P-C and megan!

Yeah, I think that's what I'm going to do, MFN. They sent me a bunch of things to fill out, so I'll send those back later this evening, and ask her to send me more info on the other stuff (including, for example, when this two week training IS, exactly!). She suggested a start date of 4/7.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

TCG just talked to our landlady. She won't consider a partial month lease. I kind of hate the idea of signing up for another year here, but I might hate the idea of moving again more. My other worry is that when next year rolls around and we're say a month or two away on signing on a house, then what are we going to do? I'd prefer it if we were working with someone more flexible at the time.

We're all getting played with, babe. -Weird Barbie

I'm sorry about the added stress, sj, and I know that you hate moving. You seem to really dislike where you are, too, though. Do you have time to look at all before you have to tell her?

So my latest fun is tackling the remaining loose ends from the divorce. Yes, I know it has been almost three years since we separated and almost two since the divorce was final, but I swear to God these things take forever. You'd think all the legal mumbo-jumbo for the settlement would be enough, but nooooo.

DexH and I bought into the Disney Vacation Club (a timeshare-ish thingy) back in 2000 when we got married. He didn't want it, so I took it over during the divorce. I also took over the remaining mini-mortgage payments. The mini-mortgage was for ten years, so it will be entirely paid off mid-2010. Unfortunately, in order to finalize the ownership transfer, the mortgage has to be entirely paid off now and a new deed drawn up. There's still around $3500 left to pay. I really don't have that, especially given all the insane expenses in my life over the last few weeks.

I know I need to get this sorted out, it's time. But man is it going to be a PITA to deal with and pay for a real estate lawyer or financial consultant to make sure this is all done correctly since DexH lives 3000 miles away and is on the road all of the time.

The artist formerly associated with cupcakes.

Dear Pseudo-Big Brother,

Calling to tell me that a) you're at Disneyland, and b) you're wandering around a store full of Nightmare Before Christmas merchandise is just mean. Bring me back a spooky trinket, or I will make you suffer.

With exasperated fondness, Your Little Pseudo-Sister.

You're looking at places tomorrow, sj? I hope one of them is super fantastic and worth the hassle of moving so the decision is easy.
