Kristin, I'm glad Byron is recovering so well.

Spike's Bitches 40: Buckle Up, Kids! Daddy's Puttin' the Hammer Down.
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
Yay Byron!
OMG!!! In a perfect example of the universe giving Yin & Yang. My boss just offered me a ticket to Yankees @ Angels in August. Fireworks Friday to boot!!! Sweet!!
So my body sucks, but my friends rock. Guess I can't complain too much right? Could be worse.
Kristin, hope you don't mind that you and Byron were sort of stars of my assembly yesterday? We have a half hour Key Stage 1 (ie 5-7 yr olds) asssembly every Monday, and one of the 3 of us who teach that age range keep them busy during that time while the others get a wee break. I happened across a picture book called The 3-legged Cat by Margaret Mahy, whose teen books I loved as a teen, so I took that down and explained to the kids about you and Byron before reading the book. (In which Tom the 3 legged cat thinks wistfully of the pleasures of going off adventuring and prowling the world, and then as the result of a happy mixup, ends up adventuring and prowling the world whilst wrapped around the bald head of a roving adventurous type who has inadvertently left his moulting russian hat with Tom's short-sighted owner.)
Awwwwwww!
Fay, you have broken me in half.

Yay Dread Pirate Byron! Is Drew back home?
Yep, picked him up yesterday. He's more than a little rough around the edges, poor thing. He's recovering from some pretty major illness.

My mother still reminds me that my sister was a perfect baby who slept through the night at five months, and I didn't sleep through the night until kindergarten. (By the time I was a toddler, I'd pretty much learned that waking up my parents in the middle of the night just because I was awake wasn't such a good idea, so I'd play with my dolls or read a book or something until I felt tired enough to go back to sleep.)
Well in the good news there was bad Mom forgot to tell me.
G'ma fell and is in the hospital she has a cracked tail bone. Mom isgoing out there to stay for spring break. And my poor G'ma can't remember she broke it so she doesn't know why she's in pain.
But mom is going at spring break, just to give my aunt some relief.
Oh dear, that is rough askye.
I am watching Britney Spears on HIMYM.
