That's beautiful. Or taken literally, incredibly gross.

hip deep in pie

I think that's supposed to be a sign that too much weight is being carried by the straps.

Hmm, I think it might be the style more than the fit, because other bras from LB in that size fit awesomely. But there are just two that have the strap issue.

No, I don't think I will - me, quoting Captain Steve Rogers, to all of 2020

Do we need some government-sponsored education campaign for this? A cute cartoon animal to alert us to this issue?

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

But would be hilarious if men had these sorts of issues finding underwear that fit.

Seriously.

Trust my rage

I got home last night after 2.5 weeks visiting my family in Minnesota. It's nice to be home and the weather is actually beautiful today. I"m feeling super accomplished as I have 2 of 3 suitcases emptied and, now that I think about it, I can't do the other one right now because Frisco is asleep in the room where the clothes go.

I normally leave the suitcases for several days and then spend those days irritated that I can't find what I need.

Punishingly Intricate

Woot! I'm such a procrastinator about unpacking from vacation (and putting clothes away after doing the laundry).

and, welcome home!

See? I gave everybody here an opportunity to tell me what a bad person I am and nobody did, because I fuckin' rule.

I've heard enough reports of "I went in for a fitting and they gave me a XYZ even though I've always worn a ABC and it's so much more comfortable!" to believe that most women are wearing the wrong size bra.

Which reminds me... wasn't there a Buffista a while back who turned out to be one of the 0.005% of women wearing exactly the right size? (Rio? Robin? One of the wise ones, anyhow) I can't remember who, but I do remember her posting after a bra fitting all chuffed and full of "I have no idea how that happened, but how cool is it!"

I have no idea what size I am officially. The best-fitting bra I now own is a cotton underwire $12 bra that I got at the South Lake Tahoe KMart on a family trip two days after the Matilda pregnancy test said yes. I also have a Waocoal (sp?), same size, that fits pretty well but whose underwires bite me.

Goddess has betrayed me--their nursing bras rocked with the comfort and support, and, incidentally, turned out to be exactly the right silhouette for all the 50s vintage dresses I still fit into. They were just ugly as sin, very large and white and industrial, even though their non-nursing bras are just as solid and supportive but much prettier. Post-nursing I got a Goddess bra in a style very close to the nursing-bra-vintage, in black lace, and it is pinchy and squashy and very much all wrong. So now I don't trust their sizing, which breaks my heart because I thought they were going to be my One True Bra.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

I generally get fitted at least once a year or so, more often if my weight has been changing. And it's not just a matter of "Does this fit reasonably well?" -- usually, there are a few different sizes that'll look pretty good in the dressing room, but only one of them will be comfortable and still look good after wearing it all day.

the hardest to learn / was the least complicated

wasn't there a Buffista a while back who turned out to be one of the 0.005% of women wearing exactly the right size?

When I got fitted last year, it turned out that I was wearing the right size. Total fluke.

I think those things have to go together, don't they? 50s dresses and white industrial bras, I mean. At least they do in the movies!

I’d be lying if I didn’t say that I miss them all tonight…

ita, IIRC. She was kind of disappointed that she was correct.

Olga Demis are my One True Bra, so naturally they're phasing them out. Bastards.
