Angel: Connor, this is Spike and Illyria. Guys, this is Connor. Connor: Hi. umm...I like your outfit. Illyria: Your body warms. This one is lusting after me. Connor: Oh...no, I--I--it's just that it's the outfit. I guess I've had a thing for older women. Angel: They were supposed to fix that.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

Yeah. Zipcar is pretty good for grocery shopping somewhere relatively within the neighborhood, but not so good for going out of the city.

"This bar smells like kerosene and stripper tears."

We don't have zipcar which is another reason the "just tow the uninsureds' cars" people piss me off.

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

You know when you have a fever and the blanket on means you're roasting and the blanket off means you're freezing?

Like that.

If I want to become a cloud of bats, does each bat need a separate vaccination?

In NYC, at least, I have yet to find a rental car agency with a lower weekend day rate than most Zipcars. (Or anywhere at all that will let you return a rental car on Sunday except to the airport.) So I love it for day trips.

Because books.

Thanks for the birthday wishes! There's sunshine here today, and there will be cake later, so I'm knee-deep in happy.

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

I'm knee-deep in happy.

Awesome place to be. Happy birthday!

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Yeah, the one-day rental we had yesterday was like $150.

Apart from sports, "my secret favorite thing on earth is ketchup. I will put ketchup on anything. But it has to be Heinz." - my husband, Michael Vartan

Hello, everyone! I've missed you.

I want to go to a spa right this second.

Also, I was woken up this morning by my two year old neighbor who was wearing only a red cardigan and one pink sock as she banged on my (glass) door while screaming with delight, "TITTY TAT!" Which is disconcerting. Incidentally, this was also how I woke up yesterday. And the day before. Though I believe she wore a yellow sweater on Friday. I think I have to have a talk with her mom. I'm not in love with this new routine.

Also, of all the things that I intended to accomplish today, which included things like doing a lot of writing and going to Target and cleaning, the only thing I did do was walk to Porto's and buy a fresh baguette. Which I promptly snacked on. Along with an apple and a slice of cheese. I highly recommend this. I also took a long bath this morning, which I would also recommend. Oh, and napping. I was out of all my other cold-beating medicines, so I had some Nyquil around 10 a.m. Allow me to be the first to say that this doesn't lead to productivity.

And now I have to go fight traffic on my way to dance class. But I wanted to say hi! I missed you guys!

(And as a complete aside, I rescued a really super sweet kitty last Friday and took her to the shelter. If anyone in the LA area was thinking about getting a cat, let me know if you want more details. She was RIDICULOUSLY sweet. She followed me to my car, and happily sat and napped in my lap for a good hour and a half. It half killed me to take her to the shelter, but since I didn't know what her possible issues were, I couldn't take her home to my two cats.)

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

Alibelle! I'm going to be in LA at the end of the month. Are you?
