Dawn: I think a date should be in a real fancy restaurant, then champagne at a night club with a floor show, then ballroom dancing. Joyce: Unfortunately, we're not dating in a movie from the thirties.

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

I wonder if Spa Week is behind my strange encounters on North Ave. today. I wondered if it was a marketing thing or some bizarre improv exercise.

One young man wanted to know what I normally spend on haircuts and then asked something about when I last visited a 5 star salon/spa. (Ha! Nothing and never!)

A few hours later another young man stopped me as I was going into Borders saying, "Excuse me, ma'am, can I ask you a question?" Since the previous encounter started exactly the same way I replied, "Is it about my hair?" He responded with "No, it's about free hugs" and held his arms out. Um. I'll pass, thanks.

not your mom's socks.

vortex I know now you meant something different than what I responed to... Safe to say we lived and live now in an area where bars mostly come with restaurants, those are the places with really good food, and neighbors, we can walk to them, and we're not required to drink real drinks in order to be there. Getting a sitter is good too.

This post rant brought to you by a 104 fever, lots of screaming at 30 min intervals, complete inability to make it better right away, a weekend full of plans with friends from home down the tubes, and the need to get a sitter as soon as she's better like woah.

Kat, am I reading that wrong, or do I have to register to see what is offered in my area?

yep. or I could tell you since I registered.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

I'm in class, not having a whole lot of fun. But in good news, more or less, it's the next-to-last Saturday class.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

Happy Birthday Mac!

I feel like someone stuffed steel wool in my sinuses.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

So, if I put $4000 in an IRA by the 15th, I get like a thousand dollars more back on my taxes. That's like getting an immediate 25% return on that money. What am I missing? What's my downside?

It's five thousand for kissing, ten thousand for snuggling... End of list.

The loss of $3000 to have now?
