Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I'm about to crack.

I am about to lose it!!!

Ugh, you guys.

Me, I'm just disappointed it's not next Friday my boss is leaving, but the one after that.

Oh, this was a good one: I was sending around possible dates for a meeting. One of them is after she's gone. So she replies that she can make any of the first three times, then sends a second email saying that she won't be here for that last date. Um, yeah, I remember. Oh, her email came with a sad face. So I figure it is the least I can do (the very least!) and reply back with a sad face. She replies slightly gushy about how great it's been to work with me. I swear she is sitting at home today just hoping people will miss her when she's gone.

"I'm useless alone." // "We're all useless alone. It's a good thing you're not alone."

I'm getting hammered on all sides with work I don't know how to do, and no one can or will answer my questions on how to do it.

What happens if you go home sick right now?

What if you take a break for half an hour?

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I swear she is sitting at home today just hoping people will miss her when she's gone.

It's the less-committed version of eavesdropping on your own funeral. Pfft.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

Why does Bono sing 'Early morning, April Four' in "Pride", when MLK was shot in the early evening?

Bono says he screwed up.

Ha. Just like the Sublime song "April 29, 1992." About the events of April 29, 1992. In which the first line is "April 26, 1992."

We're all getting played with, babe. -Weird Barbie

Yay Mr. flea!

So it only took Byron ten minutes after we got home from his final surgical check-up to pee in ND's suitcase. Yeah, he's feeling better.

Good news, though--the histopathology confirmed that the amputation, as awful a decision as it was, was the right choice. They were able to completely remove all cancerous material, so he has a real chance for more years or healthy & happy, albeit three-legged, life. Phew.
