Ha! Went to buy coffee beans, and the guy at the register made a Rainman joke after I made a "clearly I need this coffee because counting seems to be beyond me" joke. Then he mentioned that I probably didn't know the movie because I was two when it came out.

Which, HA HA not so much, but I guess it's flattering?

I found the program for your wedding while I was packing last night!

Awww. (Please tell me you had the sense to put it in recycling and not schlepp it to the new house.)

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I'm not sure why I'm convinced pancake mix in cookies is wrong, but I'm having a hard time shaking it. Still, it's an easy enough recipe that I just might try.

At home so far I have brown and white rice flours and corn flour.

Man, I'm indoctrinated by wheat. All these things to try and add back up to it. I think I've tried spelt, but I just can't remember in what, or how it turned out.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I am intrigued by quinoa flakes. What are they for?

(I heart quinoa. It is the superfood of the future!)

I want to try this soda bread recipe. And these oatmeal cookies

Today is my Tuesday and already I've made all these plans for every waking weekend hour, slaving away over a hot stove. As if.

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

Awww. (Please tell me you had the sense to put it in recycling and not schlepp it to the new house.)

I was going to, but I was so focused on the boxes that I think I set it aside and the cat batted it under the sofa.

Punishingly Intricate

I am intrigued by quinoa flakes. What are they for?

I use them to make delicious hot cereal (more like cream of wheat than oatmeal textured)! I'm not sure what else they can be used for except that cookie recipe on the package.

I got them at the Whole Foods where they were shelved with pastas and rices not with hot cereals though.

I love superfoods of the future!

The only thing that consistently got me out of the house during that time was meeting another unemployed friend for breakfast and some exercise.

Yeah, sadly, my other unemployed friend is too depressed to leave the house often (er...you know her, in fact...), and my breakfast friend went away for the weekend, and hasn't returned my calls yet...

I'm about to leave for work right now. Wish me luck.

Did you remember your flashlight, Scola?

An unalphabetized glossary: stupidest thing in the world? Y/N

Good lord. Y!

You know, if it was a couple of students, I'd think, Wow, serious disturbance going on there, but nine?

Yeah, that's a lot of planning and conspiracy for a messed up group of kids!

She is at a different school now, but is a leading philosopher of moral theory. Her mother is a peace activist and philosopher of ethics and her grandparents are Nobel laureates. Her father was president at Harvard.

Good grief, what a pedigree--I'm impressed she didn't turn out a psycho. Or at least a high school dropout or something.

I would tend to think amoral simply because at 8 or 9 do children have moral standards?

If they're Catholic, they're supposed to ahve passed the age of reason...:)

Their signs always bugged me. If it's the ice cream of hte future, why am I supposed to eat it NOW?

I love quinoa--I just got some RED quinoa from Trader Joes, and am trying ot figure out what would look pretty with it.
