Wash: Well, I wash my hands of it. It's a hopeless case. I'll read a nice poem at the funeral. Something with imagery. Zoe: You could lock the door and keep the power-hungry maniac at bay. Wash: Oh, no, I'm starting to like this poetry idea now. Here lies my beloved Zoe, my autumn flower, somewhat less attractive now she's all corpsified and gross...

Has anyone here had problems with NPR podcasts this week? Both Wait, Wait Don't Tell Me and Car Talk were only partial files. So I deleted them and downloaded again, and this time the files are even shorter. For a second I thought maybe work was blocking my ability to download large files, but then all 40 mins. of the Savage Love podcast is there.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Yeah, I didn't get all of Wait, Wait this week, or all of TAL last week. Annoying!

Strange, I got all of TAL.

But now I have nothing to listen to on the bus!

I wonder if it's some kind of funding drive, "And with your pledge of $20 or more, you'll get the second half of Car Talk."

Come on, people! Check out the Muppets blooper reel! It involves Beaker....

If I want to become a cloud of bats, does each bat need a separate vaccination?

I want to read a piece of futurism and technology as depicted in visual sci-fi. About where people let their brains go (communicators, transporting) and didn't (no dynamic data screens, traditional gender roles) and why--budget? Current technology? Culture?

Ooh, me too. Someone should write that. And then send me a link.

Shit's all sorts of different now.

Little late - but this is the tutu I made Em for her ladybug costume:

Did this require a sewing machine?

I used one, but you don't HAVE to use one. It was very easy to make.

Mr. Scola’s wardrobe by Botany 500

Last night I dreamed I was waiting in the subway station to go to work, and then there was a blackout. It was completely dark, and I slipped and fell off the edge of the platform — and then I woke up.

I fell right back asleep, and I was in the same dream: I was in the subway station during a blackout, only this time I had a flashlight with me.

I'm about to leave for work right now. Wish me luck.

Don't forget your flashlight, Tom!

(Okay, I mistyped your name as "Rom" and then "Tim" before I finally got it right. Clearly more coffee is indicated.)
