All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

Aw, I didn't get to see Gud's link before it became a 404.

"And that's why God Almighty gave us fire insurance and the public defender".

Aye, morning, pirates!

Ladybug: cute!

That Muppets video: I knew that somehow, something will make me to hear the entire song. I surrender to destiny, in its fuzzy Beakerish form.

Now tagless for your comfort.

I wanted crisp and refreshing, but this jazz apple has perfect texture and too much sugar

Ooooh, a breed I haven't tried yet! I think they're new, yeah? Sorry it didn't satisfy, ita. I'm a horrible apple snob myself but I like the sweeter varieties.

Come on, people! Check out the Muppets blooper reel! It involves Beaker....

DAMMIT. I fell for it.

Little late - but this is the tutu I made Em for her ladybug costume:

Did this require a sewing machine?

Nice move, Gud. *sob*

Yeah, I've never heard of a Jazz Apple! ...it makes me suspcious. Should I be eating it while I drink gin? And roll my stockings down?

Sigh. So last week, we met some fun new people. They said this week they were going to the bar for one of their birthdays. I went, with someone else, and hung out there for like, two hours, and they texted saying they were coming, adn never showed up. We gave up. I get home, and they text saying "Sorry, we got delayed, we're on our way now!" I was like "Dudes, I'm unemployed, and I still got tired of waiting for your asses and went home...it's after midnight!" Crazy.

"And that's why God Almighty gave us fire insurance and the public defender".

Hey meara!

Fun new people don't sound so fun. And two hour waiting? I wouldn't wait that long.

I'm having a Monday. Probably because my Monday was actually good.

meara - Apr 01, 2008 10:47:03 pm PDT #8833 of 10001

Well, I was hanging out with someone else I met last week, and flirting with her. And also ran into someone I met my first weekend in Seattle--who remembered my name! So now I'll remember her, too.

Sorry about your Monday!

I really need to have a reason to get up and out of the house at a decent hour tomorrow. Hrm. I should've made an appointment or something.

Our wings are not tired.

Meara, you could pretend that you actually start your new job on Thursday, and then you'll maybe have that "gotta get my crap together" kind of energy tomorrow.

That worked once for me. But even I can't fool myself twice!

When I was unemployed, which was for a long long time, I developed an unhealthy crush on Kelly Ripa.

I don't encourage that sort of behavior.

And your stories of the lesbians in Seattle have given me the impression that they're flakier than most. Are they? And I hope you're not letting the GILF play around with your emotions any more. If she aint gonna play around with the rest of ya, then she has to stay outta your brain!

This post brought to you by the high of recently conquered digital cable/Tivo/dvds/multiple rooms hook ups.

AND I even got my wireless all-in-one printer dealie all set up.

Hah! No, no, this has nothing to do with the GILF, though I agree that Seattle lesbians seem to be super flakey.

Pretending I start the job Thursday would only work if I had something to DO...I do need to buy a desk, I think (I have one, but it's tiny), and definitely a new chair, but...I wake up in the morning, and it's not like it's important i do that at 10AM rather than 2pm. Except that it'll make it that much harder to get up on Monday and so on!

Our wings are not tired.

The only thing that consistently got me out of the house during that time was meeting another unemployed friend for breakfast and some exercise.

Ok. Who stole my semi-motivation to work today?
