Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Google freaked me out this morning.

Ooh, I don't like that at all.

"It didn't taste good. It tasted soooo horrible. It tasted like....a vodka martini." - Matilda

A local television station is running a special about Earth Hour during Earth Hour. Doesn't that kind of defeat the point?

hip deep in pie

Earth hour is irritating me for a reason I can't pinpoint. Something about shutting off the lights for an hour will do little, and hey, shouldn't we really be worried about cars and industrial consumers?

I am seriously unmotivated to do anything, even shower. Although this morning, I've already unclogged my laundry sink. Yay, I can use the washer again without fearing an overflow. I think, really, I don't want to go outside, because that means shovelling.

"I'm useless alone." // "We're all useless alone. It's a good thing you're not alone."

Yeah, what's up with Google?

"I'm useless alone." // "We're all useless alone. It's a good thing you're not alone."

Oh, is it Earth Hour?

Why are we having Earth Hour? Don't we already have Earth Day?

We're very stretchy. - Connie Neil

Waving "hi" from Mom's

I heard on the news that several Chicago buildings are going dark for an hour tonight for that Earth Hour thing. Apparently, it's specifically for/about global warming, as opposed to Earth Day, which is environmentalism as a whole.

I too miss "Mode" magazine! I always bought it when I'd shop at the Avenue, and I had a customer asking about any magazines in the plus-sized fashion category, and I had to share with her the fact that Mode was long defunct. We had a mini-wake for it.

Now tagless for your comfort.

Google gave me a bronze flashback.

This happened a half hour away from me up here in Wisconsin.

Good Trouble and Righteous Fights

The few times I've been told to hurry up in French, it was usually with a "tout de suite", which means immediately.

Well, it's not really a "hurry up" kind of thing. They've been following one of my characters all day, looking for the right moment to abduct him, and it's just arrived. So maybe the leader doesn't have to say "Now!" It could just as well be "Go!" or "Get him!" or whatever would sound succinct and menacing.

Sigh. Where that time machine to go tell myself to take French instead of Spanish 19 years ago when I started college? Because I feel like such a pest to always be bugging y'all over stuff like this, and yet I'm not going to stop writing this book for the time it would take me to fit learning a new language into my crowded schedule.

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

First attempt to record a show with Tivo was successful. Yay!

(Yeah, I know, I'm being all "Tivo likes carrots")

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

Susan, I think I'd go with "Allez!" there, but Megan would know better.
