Mal: Yeah, well, just be careful. We cheated Badger out of good money to buy that frippery, and you're supposed to make me look respectable. Kaylee: Yes, sir, Captain Tightpants.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

For some reason them talking about the best lipstick bothers me. Not that I don't want to know...

I'm watching Real Genius and I'm bored. Am I doing it wrong?

Good Trouble and Righteous Fights

French question!

I looked up "now" in my online English-French dictionary, but I can't tell which of the several words it lists is right for my scene. I need it in the sense of a signal or command. A group of men have been waiting to do something, and their leader says, "Now!" Only in French.

The lost sheep grow teeth, forsake their lambs, and lie with the lions.

Possibly "Allez-y!" ?

It's been a while since I've used my French, but that's what jumped ot mind

It's five thousand for kissing, ten thousand for snuggling... End of list.

There's no accounting for taste. Actually, I happen to have a fondness for it, but it's not something classically '80s, like Ghostbusters, where I'd be like, what is wrong with you for not liking it. It's a minor movie really. But that's the outside of the dorm I lived in freshman/sophmore year, and my department was where that statue was.

Susan, I'd use "maintenant!" or "immediatement!" but you should probably wait on megan.

I know people with whom I share movie taste like Real Genius, but I can't find anything to sink my teeth into. I'll probably watch it all the way through to be sure, but so far it's flippantly uninvolving.

I'm curious about how off the science is.

Hmm. Now I want a limboburger.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Physicists convert first known sound recording. 1860! Lamp black wave forms and they captured her voice.

Watching the National Geographic channel as I read, and they're animating hominids and I'm having a terrible uncanny valley time. The proportions! And the amble/shuffle instead of walking!

It boggles me to think of so many hominid species hanging out with each other.

Ack! They're doing it again!

"Cry havoc and let slip the boobs of war!" -- Miracleman

But the magazine I miss most of all is the dear, departed Mode. No other magazine for plus-size women who want actual fashion instead of muumuus comes close.

yes. I am mad that I didnt subscribe. of course, if I had, it would have saved it. Just me. no one else.
