Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

We're all getting played with, babe. -Weird Barbie

I text from my cell phone a lot. I have a full qwerty keyboard, which makes it easier and it's included in my package, so it doesn't cost anything.
Plus, it's easier when I don't really want to talk to someone.
I do think it's becoming increasingly popular.
All of this is extremely true for me. I love that I can text someone a quick question or note without actually having to speak to them.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Mostly to and from my sister. It's good for communicating when one of the parties is generally disinclined to answer the phone or listen to voicemails.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

I would definitely text more if I didn't have to pay per text, but I don't know that I would text enough to justify the extra five bucks a month. Also, my cell phone apparently has very little memory to store texts, and it gets full easily. I like saving nice texts.

"Cry havoc and let slip the boobs of war!" -- Miracleman

Hivemind question: do you text from your cell phone? Why or why not? Do you think texting is becoming increasingly popular?

I generally text for three reasons - sending the same message to multiple people, when I don't need an answer (i.e. a text saying I'm going to be late), or when I know that the person's in a loud place.

"You can't put a price on the joy of not giving a shit." -Zenkitty

I mostly text people when I'm a) in public and don't want to share my conversation with everyone, even if it's innocuous, or b) when I'm at a concert/event and the noise level is too loud to hold a conversation.
