I'm actually surprised that you don't have your eyebrow pierced, juliana.

I've been trying to assemble various examples of my hairstyles over the years, but I'm missing Tina Turner and Jheri curl, mostly. This underestimates the persistence of the blonde, since it was a good ten+ years, and will be back again soon enough.

So, honestly--what image does the short hair convey? I would love to have it this short all the time, but we're going to be looking at this too--there's no way around it.

I kind of feel like the red angled bob is my one true hairstyle, but I am dangerously bored with it.

Substitute "blue pixie cut" and Juliana is me.

When I was a redhead, I used to get bored much faster. When I was a blonde, I didn't so much get bored as tired of the maintenance. But ohhh, the allure of the platinum bleached head!

(Actually, I lie, and if I can find the photo from my senior year that's of me and the original line-up of Alice In Chains right after I did their hair and makeup for a show, I will have Pete scan it in so I can post it. But that would be the only photo of that hair I'm willing to show people.)

Now this is my kind of nostalgia. I've seen pix of msbelle with even shorter hair but that particular picture is SUPERINCREDIBLYCUTE.

It's not so much that it's a good idea...maybe it's a truth unmade.

I'm with Jessica--I think blonde would actually look pretty good on me (with the blue eyes and pinkness of me), but the maintenance would make me insane. And my eyebrows would look weird, so I'd have to dye them too. And that just gets crazy. So no blonde for me, I'm thinking.

Actually, as I was walking around Hampden the other day, I took that alley street that the liquor store is on and thought how weird it must be to be in that block of rowhouses that back on the school.

I came at blonde from an ignorant angle, but I do think it's much harder to pull off lightened eyebrows than it is to pull off a lightened head of hair. Even if you don't go all the way, which one would expect you not to.
