Art Crawl!!!

I heated up my heating pad for my back - so lovely. I have watched Torchwood and now I'm going back to bed.

sara, you keep saying you're not a dog person, yet you seem to get along well with dogs.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

I get along great with dogs. But I am a cat person.

Maybe part of it is I don't want the extra work associated with a dog. Part of it is living in a small apartment in a big city. A big chunk of it is that cats are awesome!

But I will happily play with doggies when they are around....

Oh, I get along fine with them. I like them! (Still can get a giggle out of me remembering Kuma falling all over me in Hank and Bear just snuggling up.) Frankly, I get along fine with just about everything that can be made into a pet. It's just I have slightly less desire to have one as I do cats. Cats being annoying? Well, yeah. Dogs being annoying test me more. And doggy smells bug me a helluva lot. I don't hold it against them, but wet dog/needs bath dog smells are a negative trigger.

The reality is, short of some sort of roach or bug (and I'm sure there are some bugs that are the exception- like ladybugs and praying mantises!) thrust into my life, I'm going to go all mamabear about them.

Well, maybe not fish. Fish kinda bore me. Except for my brother's bloodthirsty one. That one has personality! Homicidal.

HA!

Noah's day care has a bird and fish. He loves to sit in the high chair and watch the fish swim. It's fish TV! I'm glad he has them there so I don't have to get him fish at home. In a few more months, like during the summer, he's going to love a trip to the aquarium.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

Staying upright long enough to put away a basket of clean clothes probably isn't supposed to feel like an accomplishment, but it does.

I mean, it's a big basket, and had lots of clothes in it.

Fish tv (and birds, I also don't get birds, though the ones at La Posta in Mesilla, I can see the appeal) are excellent for wee ones.

Damnit, now I want the coleslaw from La Posta. Not mayonaisey, just vinegar, pepper, a hint of spice and something else. I haven't been able to replicate it.

Fish TV is more consistent than Dog TV. Dog TV naps too much.

Danger is my middle name, only I spell it R. u. t. h. - Tina Belcher.

I'm just sticking my head in to say thank you to whichever Buffista suggested spraying your freezer with non-stick cooking spray after you defrost it. I just defrosted mine after spraying it last August. It took a little over an hour this time! Last August it took all-fucking day!

Whoever that tip came from is a genius!

Wait, is this real-world child support, where the money goes to buy food for the kids, or MRA fantasyland child support where the women just buy Ferraris and cocaine? -Jessica

Okay. I got the boxes out of the trunk. Going to start packing decorative crap, my books and DVDs, kitchen stuff I don't use often.

Kat, can I swing by tomorrow to pick up my ladder? Ima wash and pack curtains, and taking down the lighting accents. I figure I only have 9 full days to sort, pack, tidy up. And at least one of those is going to be spent at the new place cleaning and getting the fridge and stove delivered.

Oy. This is a big scary exciting pain in the ass awesome thing.
