Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

I barfed in every big box bulk store in Ft. Wayne, IN that day.

Funnier out of context....

This is pretty amazing: Early Science Fiction Fanzines: A Cover Gallery Mostly from the '70s. Trek, Dr. Who, Star Wars, Logan's Run, Dark Shadows, etc...

Yee. I didn't need see Leia & C3P0 in bed. On the other hand, "Carbonite Maneuver" made me laugh.

I'm thinking the Woody Allen part was just a minute of him doing a USO show -- not interacting with the cast. Is that right?

Excellent editorial in the LA Times: Wiretapping's true danger

History says we should worry less about privacy and more about political spying.

...

But focusing on the privacy of the average Joe in this way obscures the deeper threat that warrantless wiretaps pose to a democratic society. Without meaningful oversight, presidents and intelligence agencies can -- and repeatedly have -- abused their surveillance authority to spy on political enemies and dissenters.

Answers the question, "But why would the average citizen need to worry about warrantless wiretapping?"

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

I was just reading it, too. I feel like whatever happens with the election, that's going to be one of those lasting political documents.

"What kind of magical sunshine and lollipop world do you live in? Because you need to be medicated."-SFist

People who received their refund by check, and those who owed taxes and paid by check or credit card, are on the later schedule to receive their payment by check through the mail.

You know, despite the fact that I'm not a big believer in the "stimulus" package, I'm quite annoyed that, although I filed in early February, I'm in the last batch to receive a check.

Me too. I'm sitting here with a kleenex. Man, he's so... good.

ETA: And I like that he didn't back away from Wright -- he gave a coherent explanation of what's wrong with the things he's been quoted for, but also explained that, where is it... "The fact that so many people are surprised to hear that anger in some of Reverend Wright's sermons simply reminds us of the old truism that the most segregated hour in American life occurs on Sunday morning." Damn right.

Cats to become a rabbit should gather immediately now here

I am annoyed that my SSN endes with 92, because I am in the last batch of electronic deposits. I also think the whole thing is dumb, but I still want my $600.
