All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

Leaf blowers are always on around here, it seems. And I can never find the piles they are supposed to be making.

Probably one guy using the blower and another putting the piles into bags or other containers.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

This is pretty amazing: Early Science Fiction Fanzines: A Cover Gallery Mostly from the '70s. Trek, Dr. Who, Star Wars, Logan's Run, Dark Shadows, etc...

This is the most awesome video I've seen in a while: [link]

It's this machine that plays fetch with your dog. The dog drops a tennis ball into it and it flings it across the room for the dog to fetch - no human intervention required. The dog in the video is excited as hell, and uses it over and over....

Great video, tommyrot.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

Ugh, Scrappy, what a mess. I can picture your DH handling it all with aplomb, but still, what a mess.

I have a terrible urge to hunt down the bacon chocolate. I tried to buy it today from Surfas, but they didn't have it. I may have to run out to Whole Foods, especially since I also want to see if they have lavender there (I found a lavender shortbread recipe that I need to make). Obsession is an ugly thing.

Here it is Vortex.

I really am just a mediocre baker but they look easy to make, and they taste divine.

Guinness cupcakes

Despite the addition of Guinness, these cakes are not at all bitter; instead, the beer adds richness and moisture, and balances the sweetness of the sugar. Working from another Nigella recipe, this one the Guinness Cake from Feast, I substituted brown sugar for white to add depth of flavor, and made tiny cakes instead of a large one in a springform. Topped with a cream cheese glaze, these are a crowd-pleasing, not-too-sweet dessert (and, if you call them muffins instead of cupcakes, and play up the beer angle, you can easily pass them off to guys). They’re also super-easy.

First, she's hosting some dance show on Bravo (as you will recall from the aforementioned Showgirls, she's a DANCER!),and now she's guesting on CSI, which I haven't watched in years and decided to watch on a whim tonight.

And she has a teenaged son with HoCaine. Which is extra hilarious to me.

Also, I Would Die 4 U just came on my iPod. This makes me think of you, ita.
