Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

Leaf blowers are pretty decent for getting the leaves from vaguely over here to vaguely over there. So for places like my parents' town, where you blow the leaves into a big pile in the street next to the curb and a guy in a special truck comes around to collect them, they're pretty good. Getting them into something more specific, like into a container, requires a bit more skill, but it can be done.

So, why is Elizabeth Berkley (of Showgirls fame) suddenly all over my TV? First, she's hosting some dance show on Bravo (as you will recall from the aforementioned Showgirls, she's a DANCER!),and now she's guesting on CSI, which I haven't watched in years and decided to watch on a whim tonight.

BTW, wanna come visit at the end of the month?

FUCK YEAH. But sadly, unpossible. Fucking job and inept testers have claimed those days. Shit, I'm listed to work that weekend (I won't, though.) I'd blow them off, but that it's still early in this position.

(I'd really wanted to do a surprise appearance at the very least, but obviously was foiled.)

And yes, c-section stitches scissors is weird. And sewing them into my coat is weirder. But it is so typically me.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I caught her in an ep of Without A Trace the other night. For some reason (or for that immutable reason) although I swear I stopped watching WaT a while ago, I can't find any repeats I haven't seen before.

I just want to numb my brain, dammit. Is that too much to ask?

Leaf blowers are always on around here, it seems. And I can never find the piles they are supposed to be making.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Beck has a song where he mentions having a job as a leaf blower. And there's a video of him using a leaf blower on stage.

Maybe he's made them trendy.

Cats to become a rabbit should gather immediately now here

I once had a job at a theatre for children that required us to use a leaf blower to blow all the dropped popcorn from a perforamce into a giant pile in the middle of the floor, which we then swept up. It got old pretty fast.

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

Leaf blowers are always on around here, it seems. And I can never find the piles they are supposed to be making.

Probably one guy using the blower and another putting the piles into bags or other containers.

This is the most awesome video I've seen in a while: [link]

It's this machine that plays fetch with your dog. The dog drops a tennis ball into it and it flings it across the room for the dog to fetch - no human intervention required. The dog in the video is excited as hell, and uses it over and over....
