Is the term "social" common knowledge?
I'd say yes. I hear people asked for their "social" as often as "social security number," anyway.

Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.

Allyson, did he trash this stuff without asking? Was it salvagable? And who died and made him king of decorations? Ass.
Allyson, you went and spent time and energy and money on lighting and netting and stuff and this neighbor not only took it down but threw it in the trash instead of returning it to you? Pardon my French, but what a fucking fuckhead. I'm vibing very, very hard for some good housing alternative to pop its head up for you, and soon.
And you should feel free to come up to our place and put up lights and netting any damn time you want, complaint-free. Bold colors welcome.
I mean, sheeeee-it.
And (because it merits a separate and much nicer post of its own), welcome, Shir! Any friend of Nilly's is welcome, with delight!
Speaking of Nilly- My sister says she just finished Vampire People and she loved it (of course). She says she cried over Random Acts of Paypal.
Thanks for the citation help, peeps!
There's no way that the decoration back there could please everyone, but there's no need for the guy to be a pisser about it.
Hell, I saw what it looked like before you guys did anything to it, and however "inelegant" what you ended up with, it was sure better than what you had before.
Wait--so if you don't get Colin's place, are you still moving? I hope you do get it, and it's not nice of the landperson to discover a friend from her back pocket (but such is the risk with these connection of a connection things, I guess).
Welcome, Shir.
Sorry for the badness, Allyson and ita.
And I can't rewach Blink. Empty child scared me, but the weeping angels just creeps me out - completely.
I'm going to keep looking for a place and hope the friend doesn't want it, ita.
The whole backyard thing made me feel like an idiot. I mean, six peopel contribute to the decor and care of the garden, so it's more in line with my sense of funky contemporary. He wants it to be more elegant and Martha Stewart. Which is fine, but when I asked where my red ceramic bowl (I kept extra votives in it) was, it was stacked up on the side of the house with the "junk."
It just seemed purposefully mean.
Hello, Shir! Welcome to non-lurkdom!
I must share this beautiful shot of Chicago by night from 36,000 feet.
