Random question: Who is familiar with the term "social" as being short for "social security number"? I've only heard that term used at the credit card company I worked at and by the payroll department of our client. But I think I've been asked for my social when on the phone with some company (I forget what). Is the term "social" common knowledge?

I've definitely been asked for my "social" before.
Is the term "social" common knowledge?

I've used "social" too.
Is the term "social" common knowledge?
I've definitely heard it in various places ("various" = enough that it's not surprising to hear it, few enough that I don't feel like it's replaced the full phrase).
social social social. The word has lost all meaning.
Is the term "social" common knowledge?
I'd say yes. I hear people asked for their "social" as often as "social security number," anyway.
Allyson, did he trash this stuff without asking? Was it salvagable? And who died and made him king of decorations? Ass.
Allyson, you went and spent time and energy and money on lighting and netting and stuff and this neighbor not only took it down but threw it in the trash instead of returning it to you? Pardon my French, but what a fucking fuckhead. I'm vibing very, very hard for some good housing alternative to pop its head up for you, and soon.
And you should feel free to come up to our place and put up lights and netting any damn time you want, complaint-free. Bold colors welcome.
I mean, sheeeee-it.
