Wash: I didn't think you were one for rituals and such. Mal: I'm not, but it'll keep the others busy for a while. No reason to concern them with what's to be done.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

This is kind of scary. I've learned how to make a good cheese sauce.

Today's big achievement: got Emmett to eat a green salad.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Man, Kat, rollercoaster. Glad you're off it for now.

I hope Mac learns to deal. My best friend when I was 3 or so had one leg amputated below the knee. I so wanted to be handicapped like him because it was cool.

Kids are weird.

Okay. Uploaded more portraits. Updated accounting software. Paying bill. Loving internet.

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

I just took a good look at mac's pants. he has serious high waters for about half his wearable pants right now (grew another 1/4 inch in Jan) - ok so more bids out on ebay and I might make some online purchase tonight.

Hey, msbelle, maybe we can use that thing I bought you this weekend, huh?

Did I mention loving the internet?

Okay, gotta go. Taking advantage of the fragile migraine detente to rack up as much teaching hours as possible.

oh joy! Oh Rapture ! I have a brain!

Childhood friends included a girl who had a partial ear and her brother who had a funky hand. Since we'd known each other since birth, it was only a surprise that there weren't more like them.

(Actually, it only occurs to me now that there likely had been a genetic component. Their dad didn't have an arm past half the bicept. Born that way. Huh.)

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Oh, fuck, I forgot.

Um, am I a bad and shallow person if I find this image kinda hot?

Hey, maybe I'm a cowgirl too!

Floor-length is fun--it REALLY feels like one is dressing up.

It takes it out of "really dressed up" and into "in costume yay!" so you can kind of go wild and play like you're at the Emmy's or something. Fun.

If I ever have a wedding I think I'd like all groomsmen and maids to wear matching zoot suits.

Hey Matt, wanna get married?

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Group projects SUCK

Yes, they do! I decided it's because no one's the boss. Hence my desire to be Management.

Wow, mac has to wear the brace forever? He'll totally get over any issues he might have. I mean, I hope.

I saw partial ecplipse! But weirdly, it seemed less eclipsed when I got home than before I got on the train, but I didn't think the total eclipse was til later. Hmm.
