And I myself will be wearing pink taffeta as chenille would not go with my complexion.

Because books.

Is it a true club foot, msbelle? I ask because Ben had what they called a "modified" club foot at birth, and we did a few casts and a brace before he was two, and then just stretching exercises (which I think we need to do again soon). In other words, maybe the brace will help more quickly than you think?

Signed,

it was what he had surgery on last summer. He had had surgery as an infant (probably), but never got braced, so it went back. I think it was a full club, it affected not just his foot, but the alignment of his knee and hip. If he goes without a brace for almost a full day, you can see the foot twisting back inwards.

He will get over it or he will wear long pants.

That's good, Kat. I just wish as little drama for her (and y'all) as possible. One day soon, I'll get to see her smile for myself.

I hope mac comes to the more matter of fact unselfconscious soon. But I can see how it would be hard at that age. But honestly, if he can manage in pants through summer, it'll be fine. Waste of adorable shorts and mom eyerollies, sure, but...

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

Huh. It appears that a giant shadow is eating the moon or something.

Ah. You're right, though -- he'll get used to it as he gets older and more confident. Or wear pants! Kids are pretty resilient. And he'll probably want to wear it, because it will prevent his leg from aching.

Gracie! No scariness, kiddo.

Oh she recovered beautifully and was herself within a few moments. We are still shakey.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

This is kind of scary. I've learned how to make a good cheese sauce.

Today's big achievement: got Emmett to eat a green salad.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Man, Kat, rollercoaster. Glad you're off it for now.

I hope Mac learns to deal. My best friend when I was 3 or so had one leg amputated below the knee. I so wanted to be handicapped like him because it was cool.

Kids are weird.

Okay. Uploaded more portraits. Updated accounting software. Paying bill. Loving internet.
