It's not well-known here. I think the Guadalcanal campaign is viewed as an American action, it doesn't affect the national psyche much. There is a memorial to the HMAS Canberra in Canberra, though.

Oh, I'm so glad I skipped right now. Not because I can see youtubes on this computer, because I can't, so lori's last post will have to wait for the home computer in order to be properly appreciated, but she was smart enough to start it with "Also", so I went back and found the pictures, and I'm all in a "he's so adorable!
