I go online sometimes, but everyone's spelling is really bad. It's... depressing.

Ben & Jerry's Cake Batter ice cream ('Yellow cake batter ice cream with a chocolate frosting swirl") is nummy....

Yes, it is. Nom nom nom. It and Americone Dream are my favorites now that they no longer have Phish Food as a frozen yogurt AFAICT. (In ice cream form I find it too sweet somehow.)

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Nah. Or yes. Why for?

I'm reading a book on the Guadalcanal campaign in WWII. I was curious if the loss of the Australian heavy cruiser Canberra during the battle of Savo Island was a big deal in Australia. Is it something that most people are still aware of now?

(The battle of Savo Island is generally considered the worst defeat at sea in the history of the US Navy.)

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

Flaming is like cocaine in a computer.

Too true. But for me it's not just flaming. I'm so conflict-averse any stressful conversation leaves my heart pounding.

You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

It's not well-known here. I think the Guadalcanal campaign is viewed as an American action, it doesn't affect the national psyche much. There is a memorial to the HMAS Canberra in Canberra, though.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

*They were talking shit about Bob Bob. It was deserved.

Do not fuck with the bon or she will take you out! Anonymously.

Cat and coffee cafes. In Japan. [link]

And although I didn't get video of Roman face-washing Noah, I did catch him licking Noah's arm. This is the face Noah makes whenever a dog gets close to his face. He's learned to expect the slobbery kisses, even though at least three of the dogs in his life don't give him the wet ones.

Grace, still happy to be off the vent.

Allyson - congrats on the new place! And seriously, Colin's brothers will do the moving? Canoodlian movers? Here?

Swouncing

Oh, I'm so glad I skipped right now. Not because I can see youtubes on this computer, because I can't, so lori's last post will have to wait for the home computer in order to be properly appreciated, but she was smart enough to start it with "Also", so I went back and found the pictures, and I'm all in a "he's so adorable! So cute! And so BIG! And look at her, all out! I'm always struck by how beautiful she is." and it's a lovely place to be.

lori, I can never thank you enough for being so wonderful with updating us with pictures.

And the reason I skipped? Oh, according to the Buffista Calendar, today is tommyrot's birthday.

Happy birthday, tommy! With lots of wishes for a great day and a wonderful year!
