And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

My work computer does this every year - sometimes it's the whole computer, sometimes it's just Outlook. And it always resolves itself when the UK switches over, but the weeks in-between are always screwed up somehow.

information libertarian

Oh, don't get me started on the wrongness of Lotus Notes' time these next few weeks. And everyone calls me to say, "Hey, I was looking in the Notes calendar, and some of the times are off by an hour, and can you fix that? Or explain it?"

I reply, "No, and underpants gnomes."

Also today, I couldn't log into SAP R/3 because of a "clock skew error."

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Tiny, one-room houses that come on a trailer. [link]

The smallest is smaller than a parking space.

I always thought a house was too much space for a person living alone, but I guess not....

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

My mac shifted to the correct time all by itself.

Today is my first day off in a month and I'm sick. I had a 9am interview/meeting and I've mostly been sleeping since then.

And she laughed and laughed I'm sure you're right--that's great Hec!

I'm pretty sure the problem is limited to computers that haven't been updated in the last 13 months or so....

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I'm super impressed that my alarm clock re-sets itself properly. It's not connected to the internet or anything!

So, it's nice that it's still light out and all, but it's not like it's warm enough to sit outside! I still call bullshit on this whole thing.

Because books.

My computer did not reset itself. Nor did the VCR.

I bet NY's lieutenant governor is still reeling. That must have been a surprising call to get today.

Dammit. Missed my bus because it was four minutes early. Again. It's the same driver, I'm sure. (I mean, both times it's been the bus that's supposed be be here at 5:45.)

I suppose it'd be utterly pointless to complain to the CTA....
