I had a dream recently where my best friend was avoiding me -- ducking out of rooms as I came in, running down hallways and so on -- and then when I did catch up with her, she refused to talk to me.
I woke up wanting to call her on the phone immediately and demand "Was it somethign that I DID?" because it had been so vivid and frustrating.
I am angry at the world and no one I am coming in contact with today is helping.
- horrid hateful email forwarded from cousin with extreme Christian fear-mongering
- Clueless parents at the Y making getting mac changed an extreme sport
- McD employee unable to get my order even into the system
- McD order wrong when I got it
- McD having no sink in one bathroom and a non-closing door on the other
- rain
- girl on subway body-checking me so I got separated from mac
- not-our-library hiding from me and not being where the map said it was
I have responded in turn to almost everything above, but what I think I may really need is a fight class today. It is not going to happen, but maybe I can do some punching and kicking drills - it won't be as good as actually having contact, but it may work.
Sue, you dreamt that onions were going to take over the earth? Interesting...
Well, they were sentient robots by the end of the dream. Attempting world domination is the next logical step.
I once dreamt that I was trying to invent a potato that could transcend space and time. Apparently, my subconscious has a thing about root crops.
Ah msbelle, that's not a good day.
Drove up to Watertown last night, hit every bit of traffic and rain possible
Went on second instead of first. Good show.
Drove back to NYC. Got home by 4:00.
Couldn't fall asleep until 7:00.
Woke up at 2:30. Rainpocalypse. No urge to get out of bed yet.
getting separated from a child on the subway is one of my huge fears.
Here, have some more snowpocalypse photos!
Ailleann, your apartment (condo?) buildings are pretty!
I'm envisioning one huge, unbroken blanket of snow from Cincy up to Columbus and on north to the lake.
Ailleann, your apartment (condo?) buildings are pretty!
Apartment, and thanks! Most of the big trees that aren't pines are various kinds of dogwoods, so it looks pretty awesome in the spring too.
My friend K was supposed to drive down from Cleveland to Columbus for her dad's surprise party tomorrow. Needless to say, they're driving down in the morning now. Since they'd get arrested in a couple of the counties they have to go through.
So for anyone who remembers the animation of the cat that tried to wake up his master, you can now watch him try to get in the house.
Every single window in my apartment is wide open, and I drove home from the grocery store with the top down.
The weather here is psychotic. It was like lisah said. Then it got clear. And now it is windy as hell (power has blipped) and looking like major rain again. (HAIL. They are expecting HAIL.)
My stylist is pregnant! Yay for her! ...of course, this means I'll have to use one of her collegues this fall and winter. I'll probably be able to squeeze in one last haircut in September, but then she's taking off for the rest of the year. Ah well, I'm a regular and she told me she'd pick out which stylist I should use in her absence. I'm not too worried except that I give her no instructions (beyond shorter,) I just tell her to do whatever she likes.
I fell down, went boom this morning. Stepped on the garbage lid which had fallen off. And proceeded to do a good attempt at the splits. Banged the kneecap up good. And scraped it. It's all bruised to the point that the pressure of jeans hurts. I'll bet the downstairs neighbors thought I'd dropped the fridge or something. It was very loud. And I took some pots down with me.
I had a dream I won a super luxury condo. In a mall. With the kitchen open to the mall. But what bugged me the most was that it was fully stocked with a ton of food and I knew I wouldn't be able to use it all up before it would go bad. And I didn't know where anything was. It have 5 fridges!
I never knew I had such kitchen anxieties.
Go kick and punch something, msbelle.
