Did you ever delgate a boring, repetitive task to someone-- a task that, though boring and repetitive, needs to be done accurately and is very important. And then you don't check on them for awhile. And then you need the information quickly and realize that they have screwed up a key componant which means you have to go through each and every entry, copy, etc for the past three months making sure they are accurate. Yeah, cause that is what I did!

That's right--you get to vote in the scientist vs. dairy-rightwing-nutjob election! Oberweis makes good icecream, but his politics...bleah.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Bush incoherently praises Odierno for ’snatching defeat.’

Today, President Bush thanked Lt. Gen. Ray Odierno, who until recently served as the No. 2 commander in Iraq, for his service in Iraq. In attempting to apply the phrase “snatching defeat from the jaws of victory,” Bush offered this nonsensical praise for Odierno:

I appreciate the fact that you really snatched defeat out of the jaws of those who were trying to defeat us in Iraq.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

Any opinions, and am I paying too much at $34?

Charming shoes, and you are NOT paying too much. If you have tried them on and they are comfortable, buy them, baby!

I see Ohio is expecting snowpocalypse. I'm sure there is currently a stampeded to the stores for bread, milk and toilet paper.

One of my co-workers saw two women get in a fistfight at a grocery store over carts full of food. At the moment, the streets are still clear here and there are still occasional patches of ground showing through the snow.

Where does "nom nom nom" come from?

I recall hearing it in the mid 90s long before anyone ever thought of LOLcats. At the time it was a reference to lesbian porn, but that may not have been where it got started.
