Even better. I just checked the WA State website. They can TOTALLY request it on their own, if I sign a form. He just doesn't want to wait, I think. It's a mail in request, and i can get it quicker if I go in person. Except that requires me to GO TO THE DMV, and I avoid that at all costs. Fucker.
I just emailed him and pointed him to the website and copied the relevant "prospective employer" section. And pointed out that since the phone interview is tomorrow, and I would still need an in-person interview, surely that would take some time.
GRRRRR.

Hey, speaking of earworms...
NPR is doing a story on them. "The songs you can't get out of your head" blah blah blah. And they're referencing the term "earworm" in the title of the piece.
...
Didn't we (meaning Buffistas) originate the term? I seem to recall watching it evolve long ago amongst this group. There was a "Wrath of Khan" reference...?
If so...we are made of Culturally Significant Awesome.
Didn't we (meaning Buffistas) originate the term?
Oh, no, I don't think we can claim credit for this one.
It's derived from German (and not by us): [link]
it's so unsettling to realize how little we really know about the people we work with.
I was just having this conversation with someone recently. It is quite scary how little we tend to know about the people we work with.
Ahhhhhhhh, the earworm. Make it stop!
Huh.
I thought there was this whole Giant-Papier-Mache-Chekov's-Ear thing...
...
Just me then. Carry on, nothing to see here. Move along. Move along.
Re: the primary season that never ends...
One idea that I keep seeing floating around the blogosphere is that if the Dems enter the convention with Hillary and Obama essentially tied (which is looking more and more likely), that the party might draft Al Gore as a sort of unity candidate.
Leaving aside the issue of whether it'll happen and whether he'd say yes...would this be a good thing? I'm torn. I'd certainly vote for him in a heartbeat--if he'd been in the race, he would've been my first choice. But would there be anything remotely democratic about having a nominee who wasn't on the primary ballot?
Look at this.
I am humbled by this woman. Every day she managed to pick her camera up and
do
something with it.
