Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

I thought this was well done, Tommyrot. [link]

That sounds interesting - thanks!

Hey, I'm just glad the halfwit eco-terrorists didn't burn homes that people were actually living in as part of their political statement/felony.

Hivemind question-- does anyone know of a good source for maps of cities in Central America? Specifically, I need a map of the city of San Vicente, which is in the department of San Vicente, El Salvador.

Do you need free ones? There's a pay site that's a pretty good source: [link]

You know, it occurred to me that with the collapse of housing prices, maybe this is an insurance scheme that's trying to frame the eco-terrorists.

Not that the eco-terrorist McMansion arsonists thing is implausible....

That looks promising. I think I may have a hard sell on the $450 and up custom maps, which I would need for this particular city, but at least I can use it as one solution.

I just sent a note to the Spanish people here in the office, so maybe that will turn up something.

One response:

I’ve found that maps of cities anywhere south of the US-Mexico border are very inconsistent and pretty hard to find, especially for smaller cities. Generally, if the town has a website, that’s the best bet.

There's one on this site: >[link]

The labels have to do with drugs and crime, but it’s a good map!

Really and truly thanks, Megan! I think that is going to be what is wanted, and a gold star for me.
