Overwhelming? How much more than whelming would that be exactly?

Okay, beating erinaceous at a word game cracks me up! She probably gets distracted admiring the words and thinking about their etymologies and that slows her down.

Just call me "Siouxsie Shunshine".

Nice job, Jesse!

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I believe that to be true. I also think she's a kind enough person to appreciate giving her friends bragging rights for beating her.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I taught, did one errand, and am home to fall over. Sadly I don't think I have the juice to help Kat.

Jesse, did I say already that was cool? Because it is, so very much.

And I'm thinking supportive thoughts for mr. flea.

Oh, mr. flea talked to the woman for 2 hours! Or she talked to him; he said she was a talker. It was a good conversation, but he's not sure it's his dream job after all - it's sort of a vapor-project right now. We did get some good information about the nature of the job (a post-doc, but with a decent salary and real benefits, based in Athens GA) and it sounds encouraging for the 2 actual existing postdocs he's already applied for (the woman implied he'd have to choose...)

Thanks for ~maing, people.
