Oh, mr. flea talked to the woman for 2 hours! Or she talked to him; he said she was a talker. It was a good conversation, but he's not sure it's his dream job after all - it's sort of a vapor-project right now. We did get some good information about the nature of the job (a post-doc, but with a decent salary and real benefits, based in Athens GA) and it sounds encouraging for the 2 actual existing postdocs he's already applied for (the woman implied he'd have to choose...)
Thanks for ~maing, people.
In demand, mr. flea! Shiny.
Yay for the flea family! Continued job~ma for choices, etc.
Finally caught up thanks to skipping and skimming.

I have completed my dutiful son obligations of meal prep, prescription filling, and general Dad-sitting this afternoon. Though I cracked up that Dad's last words to me as I left were about some chore that hecould have had me do at any point in the previous 5 hours.
Made zuchinni-pesto angel-hair pasta with sauteed shrimp tonight, and I'm a bit surprised at how much was left over. I've got at at least 2 large meals left over (or 3 medium ones) after a pretty hefty dinner serving, and I don't recall this particular dish stretching that far. I mean, the half pound of shrimp is extra to the veggie version I usually fix but it doesn't look like that much of the total volume. Oh well, I suppose I should leave a dish of cream out for the Kitchen Fairy since it proved both tasty and more food than expected.
