whenever I think about it and shop for patterns, nothing grabs my attention.
[link] You can find it on sale all the time, it comes in a zillion colors which you can combine at will, and it's way cool.

Eeew.
And I enjoy some inner ear frottage as much as the next guy--ok, much more than the next guy and I would NEVER do that.
What's wrong with you guys?
I've been trying to entertain a surly 2 year old. I ended up feeding her chocolate chip cookies and watching her color. We've got one hour until Owen's pick up so she is finally ensconced in front of Elmo with a doll and a blanket. She'll probably fall asleep just in time for me to have to wake her up to put her coat on and get her to the car to drive to the school.
I'm finally getting my hair colored and cut again tonight. I need to decide if I'm going to go with an entirely different cut.
I have been hooking up a new Javascript widget (that I neither wrote not tweaked the css for) into our IM Reference service (a customized instance of Pidgin) on a test page. It works! Now we have to finalize the look and feel and then we can dump the Meebo widget and be supportable on iPhones and such.
I am so untechy that my ability to do all this is making me feel VERY accomplished.

Better a hair pin than a hat pin (which is what I envisioned when I first read this - shudder ).
It works!
Wheee!!!
Oh, I have to remember this: In my endless staff meeting, something came up about did we ever get to the local contact for [elected official]. Someone says, yes, I did, it's [person's name]. I know that person! We went to grad school together! So my minion was like, "You're so connected!" I need to remember this for when I'm looking at job postings that want someone with political contacts -- I actually have some.
Not only is that gross, it makes it worse. My ears don't bother me as much after I use a candle...cleaner ears are, at least on me, not as itchy, either.
Fri dinner - waffles
I love that you guys always have waffles for Friday dinners. (Or do you alternate between waffles and pancakes? I can't remember.)

But a bobby pin has, like, a scoop-y effect!
Loves My Fiestaware
It's nice, but both my sister and mom are also fans of Fiestaware, and I must always do the opposite of one if not both of them. It's a lifelong reflex.
Yes, I have maternal/sister competition issues that I fully acknowlege!
But, I also prefer patterned plates with either nice big designs or multi-colored, not mono-colored. I like showy, splashy stuff, but I fear getting bored with the same showy pattern and don't like the idea of replacing stuff because I'm bored. So, I stick with a pattern I truly detest just because it was free and I don't want to commit to a replacement.
Le sigh. Ennui engulfs me.
