What you did to me was unbelievable, Connor. But then I got stuck in a hell dimension by my girlfriend one time for a hundred years, so three months under the ocean actually gave me perspective. Kind of a M.C. Escher perspective, but I did get time to think.

The Minearverse 6: Fiery Thread of Death

[NAFDA] "There will be an occasional happy, so that it might be crushed under the boot of the writer." From Zorro to Angel (including Wonderfalls, The Inside and Drive), this is where Buffistas come to anoint themselves in the bloodbath. Oh, and help us get Terriers dvds!

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

So there. Wah.

Snerk.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

Dig out your old textbooks and revisit them before you do the Dollhouse thing.

Or, you know, ask us. Plenty of feminist cred on the b.org. (eta: Err, this b.org. Probably not too much feminism with the other borg, what with the queen and the androgyny and the, you know, oppression.)

"We are the Goon Squad and we're coming to town...Beep! Beep!" - David Bowie, "Fashion"

Awww, Tim took the bullet for Joss on the "Billy" episode getting a sound feminist thumping hereabouts.

That's how I remember it, hence my comment. Feels sheepish

I did like the episode in general (especially Shining!Wesley and Fred Rube Goldberging her way out of trouble), but I remember there were...issues.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

Do you know, I saw that ep once (Billy), didn't like it, and promptly forgot everything about it except Wesley fucking up with Fred. I haven't seen it again so I had to go back and refresh my memory.

I liked it better when I had forgotten about it!

If I remember right, on the DVD commentary that line is immediately followed by Tim & Jeff Bell exclaiming, "Joss wrote that line! So... take it up with him."

They also go into some of Billy's backstory, and the script mechanics. It's a good commentary.

Unusually and exceedingly peculiar and altogether quite impossible to describe

LA Times article about Dollhouse (interview with Joss):

I gotta admit, as much as I dislike the "Joss is god" mindset, I really REALLY love when he says shit like this:

I write for fanboy moments. I write to give myself strength. I write to be the characters that I am not. I write to explore all the things I'm afraid of. I write to do all the things the viewers want too.

And then there was this:

That was some lunch. What did you eat?

The Gouda pizza with shrimp

Mmmmm....gouda pizza....

not your mom's socks.

From Way Back, re: DA's Original Cindy

She has a recurring role on Reaper as Sock's on again/off again girlfriend.

I THOUGHT so. Thx Vortex!

Also, I really liked the episode "Billy." I just did. Mostly because I loved seeing Wes turn into a razor-sharp psycho, and then seeing him totally decompensate at the end. He's just so pretty when he's in pain.

t edit And also because Lilah is so badass. Oh! And because of the shoe-fu smackdown between Lilah and Cordy.
