The Minearverse 6: Fiery Thread of Death

[NAFDA] "There will be an occasional happy, so that it might be crushed under the boot of the writer." From Zorro to Angel (including Wonderfalls, The Inside and Drive), this is where Buffistas come to anoint themselves in the bloodbath. Oh, and help us get Terriers dvds!

Wait, is this real-world child support, where the money goes to buy food for the kids, or MRA fantasyland child support where the women just buy Ferraris and cocaine? -Jessica

We can still give you shit for this old gang of mine, right?

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

Billy, Wolfram. I think. I actually really liked that episode.

As did I.

Not really related, but I just started and finished season 1 of HIMYM and damn do I miss the Angel bunch.

It's a good bunch! I'm almost caught up with season three.

"Don' be e-scared"

You could, Allyson, but since I hate that episode too, more than you could, I am teflon.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Um, for the record, I was a) not the only writer on that ep (which I do still like, btw) and b) did not write the scene that develops the whole "primordial misogyny" idea. A writer who wasn't credited on that ep actually wrote that stuff. Joss.

That makes the comment make more sense, then, right? Because they were talking about the Joss-show, not the Tim-show? WRT ick?

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

How about if I make fun of you for not reversing the order of Jaye and Bianca's "Grease?" "Single White Female!" exchange for the funnier-yet-cheaper punchline? I'd mock affectionately...

Did they actually air two episodes?

The CBS execs must have been feeling more generous than the show warranted. I would have cancelled it midway through the pilot when Melanie Griffith started butchering "One Way or Another."

I do believe in killing the messenger, you know why? Because it sends a message. ~ Damon Salvatore

He should talk towers and share pictures!

"What would it take to get your daughter to stop tweeting about this?"

He should talk towers and share pictures!

This is what I get for skipping through threads. I was just reading the Buffy and Angel thread where they were discussing the new Buffy tarot card design.

I was thinking, "wow, it's more popular than I thought it would be."

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Awww, Tim took the bullet for Joss on the "Billy" episode getting a sound feminist thumping hereabouts.

Note to Joss: Remember that Women's Studies minor you had in college? Dig out your old textbooks and revisit them before you do the Dollhouse thing. Also, we're still intrigued by the possibility that you are intentionally referencing both Ibsen and Roger Corman with the title "Dollhouse."
