Jayne: Captain, can you stop her from bein' cheerful, please? Mal: I don't believe there is a power in the 'verse that can stop Kaylee from being cheerful. Sometimes you just wanna duct tape her mouth and dump her in the hold for a month.

Why isn't everyone pelting me with JOY, dammit? - Zenkitty

I started writing...a really long thing about Buck's relationships tied my reaction to the above promo, but it started to get rambly, so I dumped it in notepad to noodle at later for a future post.

I look forward to reading it. I also have...thoughts. But largely inarticulate!

Thrive to spite them

I finally started watching both 911 and 911 Lonestar. Last night was gross on Lonestar. But lots of HSQ. And it's great to see Gina Torres .

I'm looking forward to the big crossover event

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

And a shout out to the Hellmouth! Gina Torres has been great, but I might never get over the level of squick in tonight's episode.

The more I learn, the more I realize how little I know.

Now I'm curious. What was the shoutout?

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

There was lava bubbling up from an underground volcano eruption, and one of the characters said something about how they had their very own hellmouth.

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

I want to be supportive, but I just can't turn off enough of my brain to go "okay" when a visibly glowing lava vent opens across the bottom of a backyard swimming pool and there isn't a steam explosion big enough to pressure-cook ALL the kids partying around it, not just the one idiot who dove in afterwards.

When you have exposed magma underwater you don't get a dangerously bubbly hot tub; you get Krakatoa.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

I only saw the preview at the end of the last ep but already wouldn't the smell, heat and toxins in the air have alerted and/or killed that lady?

Thrive to spite them

I had to handwave t how hot it would be in the surrounding air and just cover my eyes for the gross stuff.

I will say there have been times when I've been watching the shows I kind do 10 second skips through most of the disasters and go back for any character thing I may have missed.
