HA! I did own one. Like, five sizes ago.
Meeting was interesting and fairly upbeat. I think it took three hours to get to the first truly pissed off guy. We're going to vote, probably on Tuesday, about rescinding the strike order, which is separate from the contract ratification process. I think people could be back at work on Wednesday or Thursday.
ETA: At least, that's what it sounded like at the meeting. There will be meetings tomorrow of the Negotiating Committee and Board of Directors and formal decisions will be made and announced after those.
EATA: Oh and the World Socialist Web Site very kindly left a flyer on my car telling me to reject the contract deal. Apparently, we need a new socialist strategy to succeed.
Kristen, truly pissed off in which direction?
That's awesome, Kristen!!

Did they also make a suggestion as to who you should vote for?
Update! The Neg Comm and the BoD have unanimously recommended the deal. There will be a vote on Tuesday about the strike order and picketing is suspended, pending the outcome of that vote. Showrunners can go back to their producing duties tomorrow.

The acoustics weren't that great but the one part I did make out is that he thought the negotiators "blinked." He also thought they sold us out.
The funny part was that he ranted and raved and then started to walk out. David Young began responding and he stormed back to the microphone to rant some more. The poor guy who had been waiting behind him for the mic, and had an actual question, was all, WTF?

It was a double-sided letter sized document written in 8 pt. font. Though there is a meeting I can go to. But I don't think I would make a very good Socialist.
ETA: I'm sort of apprehensive about believing this is over. I keep waiting for the other shoe to drop.
Oh and I forgot to mention this.
Tamara posted a link the other day to an article about how the striking writers for Days had been fired. At the meeting last night, they announced that, as part of the strike settlement, if you had a job and were replaced during the strike, you get to go back to your job when the strike is over. So those Days writers will not be losing their jobs.
