I still plan to find a way to work "What the head said" into conversation somehow, someday. But that was a good one, too. Oh, that Myrtle. She was a treasure.

[NAFDA] "There will be an occasional happy, so that it might be crushed under the boot of the writer." From Zorro to Angel (including Wonderfalls, The Inside and Drive), this is where Buffistas come to anoint themselves in the bloodbath. Oh, and help us get Terriers dvds!
kat,
Jessica Lange said she isn't coming back, I think.
Oh, really? I thought S4 was going to be her last.
Ah, well, that's a shame. She was tremendous this season. I hated the Fiona/Cordelia hug it out moment at the end because it felt out of character. I think Fiona would've been just as likely to pick that knife up off the table, plunge it into Cordelia's back, and hop on the next plane with all her Supremeness back in full effect. BUT I thought Jessica Lange played the hell out of dying of cancer.
That'll certainly make it easier to give up the show, though.
Amy is probably right. I thought this season was her last, not S4, but I can imagine I heard wrong.
I do think her urge to kill the next Supreme was sucked out of her when she found out Cordelia was the next. I kind of wish that character development was handled better. But that is such a minor complaint in the clusterfuck of this season.
Season 4 is her last.
I'm making my way through Nikita season 1 (I've also been catching up on Hannibal, so it's been slower going than I would have hoped) and if the DVD credits are accurate I just saw Kristen's first episode as a writer on the show. Wow. Seriously. That's a knock out of the park on the first go I have to say. And one hell of a cliffhanger. If I didn't have to get going relatively early tomorrow I'd watch the next episode, but can't afford that luxury.
Is this where people still talk about crafts?
I'd never heard of this until a coworker just told us she's leaving for a position here. It sounds like something of interest to a fair number of Buffistae.
Looks pretty neat. Craftsy
So, even though I said I wouldn't, I did watch the premiere of AHS. I was underwhelmed. Nothing hit as hard as the first episode last year seeing Madame cut up her slaves in like minute two of the cold open. That said, Jessica Lange is still a wonder and this new character is a thing all its own and singing Life on Mars in enough spackled on turquoise glitter eyeshadow to choke a cow was everything. Frances Conroy still amuses me to no end. And Sarah Paulson is checking for that frikkin' Emmy this year or else. And it sure was pretty. But not scary at all. A little creepy, but even the clown wasn't scary. I knew he was going to kill those kids the minute he showed up and the fact that they didn't know and behave accordingly just made me want him to kill them. The stuff with keeping the kids in the cages might have more promise, but overall, I've seen better creepy clowns.
Eh, I'll still watch for a couple of episodes...at least until I see Three Boob Bassett.
