Zoe: Next time we smuggle stock, let's make it something smaller. Wash: Yeah, we should start dealing in those black-market beagles.

The Minearverse 6: Fiery Thread of Death

[NAFDA] "There will be an occasional happy, so that it might be crushed under the boot of the writer." From Zorro to Angel (including Wonderfalls, The Inside and Drive), this is where Buffistas come to anoint themselves in the bloodbath. Oh, and help us get Terriers dvds!

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

I was going by what I saw posted on FB and saw in the limited entertainment media I view. NOT REAL DATA, but casual observation.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

It's gotten the highest ratings out of the three seasons. Like, ratings so high it's just behind Breaking Bad and Walking Dead when it comes to cable series.

Because books.

It was a more fun season, I guess -- it was contemporary, rather than set in a different time period, and it was a lot less gloomy than S1, with all the depression and cheating and miscarriage and whatever.

I guess a lot of viewers just glossed over the LaLaurie storyline?

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

Highest ratings seems pretty clear.

I came for Angela Bassett. I had never watched even one episode of AHS prior to this season. So, I imagine that lots of folks maybe came for Angela or Kathy Bates or because New Orleans and witches sounded more fun than insane asylums or creepy houses. And honestly, through the first five or six episodes, I was having a lot of fun with this show. It was ridiculous and the racial and gender politics were...problematic. But the actresses were tearing it down and it was funny and shocking and scary and touching in turn. I can see how and why it would've gathered a big audience. By the time it all fell apart, I was in for a penny, in for a pound.

I'll never watch it again, though. Even though Angela, KB and Jessica Lange are all coming back, right? Not even for those ladies.

I still plan to find a way to work "What the head said" into conversation somehow, someday. But that was a good one, too. Oh, that Myrtle. She was a treasure.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

kat,

Jessica Lange said she isn't coming back, I think.

Oh, really? I thought S4 was going to be her last.

Ah, well, that's a shame. She was tremendous this season. I hated the Fiona/Cordelia hug it out moment at the end because it felt out of character. I think Fiona would've been just as likely to pick that knife up off the table, plunge it into Cordelia's back, and hop on the next plane with all her Supremeness back in full effect. BUT I thought Jessica Lange played the hell out of dying of cancer.

That'll certainly make it easier to give up the show, though.
