Go, Cindy!

The Minearverse 6: Fiery Thread of Death
[NAFDA] "There will be an occasional happy, so that it might be crushed under the boot of the writer." From Zorro to Angel (including Wonderfalls, The Inside and Drive), this is where Buffistas come to anoint themselves in the bloodbath. Oh, and help us get Terriers dvds!
scarf update - 22 inches so far. Goal is 60 and then to add the decorative trim on the ends. WHEE!
I smoked 20-30 Marlboro Lights for about 15 years until six months ago. Champix (the UK version of Chantix) was a god send for making me give up. I also recommend Wrigley's Airwaves. The strongest chewing gum out there. Really good substitute for a cigarette.
Cindy, that's fantastic. So hard and so worth it. Go, you. And Tamara and Simon. And anyone else who's working on that.
Man. I have an afghan somewhere that I started crocheting during my convalescence (there's a word I didn't know how to spell) after surgery a couple of years ago. I should find that. I don't think I've ever finished a crochet project. Maybe I should start with a scarf instead of an afghan.
A co-worker has the Dollhouse pilot script and is taunting me with it.
Have you seen it in it's physicalness, Tamara? After all, it is April 1st.
I did see its physicalness. Yesterday. She knows what a big geek I am so she teased me a bit. All in fun. I don't know if I even want to know anything about it yet. It's a dilemma.
A good dilemma though.
Cindy -- YOU GO GIRL. Keep with the quitting. Good for you, good for the family.
Yay Cindy! It is so worth it.
My roommate is going on three months and if he can do it so can you. He did have to leave the room last night during the heavily smoking oriented episode of The Simpsons.
I was about three months in and barely got through The Black Dahlia. Watching film noir is a terrible idea when quitting. I also couldn't watch Mad Men. If they get a second season, I'll be at a year and a half so I'm hoping that's enough time. Those anti-smoking "truth" ads, still just make me want a cigarette. The tobacco companies should start funding them.
The biggest upside is not having my clothes smell like an ashtray. I like the smell of my clothes again.
Those anti-smoking "truth" ads, still just make me want a cigarette. The tobacco companies should start funding them.
So very true.
