Some of them were supposed to have been emancipated slaves that she kept (and tortured) illegally, weren't they? If so, I assume those would have been freed. Others might have been sold by the authorities.

Yep, really digging it so far. It somehow seems less insane than previous seasons, in a way.
I'm not sure about less insane, but it definitely feels more cohesive and focused so far. Last season was just too all over the place for me.
