[NAFDA] "There will be an occasional happy, so that it might be crushed under the boot of the writer." From Zorro to Angel (including Wonderfalls, The Inside and Drive), this is where Buffistas come to anoint themselves in the bloodbath. Oh, and help us get Terriers dvds!

Just bit the bullet and started watching. It took me 7 years to start Supernatural, and now I'm head over heels. I've caught up on that, so I thought I'd try Nikita before S7. I'm kind of liking not having cable anymore, and discovering old(er) shows instead.
Just watched the Firefly reunion special, and now I has a sad.
Damn, I miss that show.
I do too, but I'm happy we never got to see Inara raped nearly to death by Reavers.
Because that? Is revolting.
I don't think that's as revolting as the vagina of death angle. I mean, attacks and rape are absolutely awful, and not my idea of entertainment. However (and clearly horribly) they are real things.
But somehow elevating the vagina dentata to a cleansing power of fury that kills all the bad guys? That's so OFF. I'm kinda glad Allyson kept that detail mum. Now, way after the show, it doesn't tarnish how I see it much, if at all. it's just a random theory (as opposed to the ambulatory sperm of Wonderfalls S2, for instance--heard that way too close to the cancellation) albeit from the writers.
I can kill you with my vagina has a whole different vibe going on than, you know, pinky or mind.

Yeah, I meant that, too. The whole thing. Just, ew.
OTOH the dogs episode sounds like it could have been great.
I kept waiting for someone to ask if they were beagles.
god, I hope Quinto's character doesn't turn out to be evil
The people in the A.V. Club comments seem convinced that he's Bloody Face.
Sister Jude's reaction is one of the things that really humanizes her. Seeing her go to another nun for counsel really brings home that she actually thinks what she's doing is right, and that some atrocities are going to cross a line, even for her.
Yes! It's so weird to realize that she's actually not an evil nun overlord.
