I identify them visually and by relationship, but the names tend to be very normal-person-name, and I confuse those easily. Just ask my students.
The Minearverse 6: Fiery Thread of Death
[NAFDA] "There will be an occasional happy, so that it might be crushed under the boot of the writer." From Zorro to Angel (including Wonderfalls, The Inside and Drive), this is where Buffistas come to anoint themselves in the bloodbath. Oh, and help us get Terriers dvds!
Much like life, I have given them all nicknames that I try to never say in public. It's never been trouble keeping who they are individually and in relation to each other clear, but their actual names? Nope.
Yeah, agree that the dynamic between Hank & Steph was note perfect. I wondered if some of that stuff was real life sibling stuff. The photo almost certainly was.
And I liked this episode. I liked how hard it all was, but they did it.
Speaking of names... I'm trying to figure out what Britt's name could be a shortened version of, or nickname for. Or is Britt in and of itself a common name?
Could be a family name, mother's maiden name, etc.
Thoughts on "Steel Neena" the theme song which I gather was written specifically for "Terriers":
1)Far from a favorite song, but the really dark lyrics combined with the sunny surf-rock melody is perfect for the show:
2) We hear what sounds like only part of the song, but for all we know that all that was written. In a way a perfect metaphor for most Minear shows. Maybe there are more lyrics somewhere which we will only get to hear if there is a second season.
It'll be for sale on iTunes next week, per Shawn Ryan.
Are there more lyrics than we hear on the show?
Does it sound like it belongs on The Magnetic Fields 69 Love songs to anyone else?
Yeah, like I said don't really love it as a song. But really appropriate for show.
