The Minearverse 6: Fiery Thread of Death

[NAFDA] "There will be an occasional happy, so that it might be crushed under the boot of the writer." From Zorro to Angel (including Wonderfalls, The Inside and Drive), this is where Buffistas come to anoint themselves in the bloodbath. Oh, and help us get Terriers dvds!

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

Hi! Oh, Timness, I have missed you. I loved some of the dialogue. "I want to be a drier person." And I do find the two main characters compelling.

I too thought the daughter was going to bite it, especially with the "we saved her, who`s gonna save us" line. So I tie for morbidity? Although I was not expecting the body, so then I remembered that I was watching a Tim show.

I like a good solid unreliable narrator. Oh, and I didn`t get the right ex-partner vibe off those two. But I like the setup, mostly. Although I should warn the guy with the girlfriend that we got a dog as a precursor to children, and it`s been six years now. Having the dog didn`t convince us not to have kids, but it also didn`t make us have them either.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

"I want to be a drier person."

I liked that line too.

I didn't see Tim's name anywhere in the credits, though. Did he have his hand in the pilot at all?

Art Crawl!!!

Well, I think you should warn the girlfriend: she's the one that wants a baby.

"What would it take to get your daughter to stop tweeting about this?"

Oh hell, that means she's going to get pregnant and THEN a bad guy is going to kill her. Maybe after the father has agreed to a name.

Nana korobi, ya oki. (Fall down seven times, stand up eight.) ~Yuzuru Hanyu/Japanese proverb

Winston.

I give it a thumbs up. It was easy to get into, I liked the characters, I came to care for them quickly, it had great dialogue and its potential for pain is huge. I thought for a few seconds when Hank went into the liquor store he was buying for himself. I've definitely got my DVR set to record it.

"What would it take to get your daughter to stop tweeting about this?"

I thought for a few seconds when Hank went into the liquor store he was buying for himself.

The whole time he was there, I thought he was going to drink.

I thought we were supposed to think it was the daughter because she was "going to get clean" so there was a link to drugs. Hank said, "it's not possible" when he heard about the OD, and I thought he meant because he watched the girl leave town. I thought she had fooled Hank and his partner into only thinking she left. That was heart breaking enough because they hadn't "saved" her. But then it was the old partner in the reveal so I just took it as a gotcha moment.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

Finally got around to watching Terriers - it's terrific!!

So far it feels more like a Shawn Ryan show than a Tim show. The camerawork is straight out of The Shield, and I'd bet cash money they're using the same location scout.

Embrace the idea that we are the leaders we've been looking for. Grace Lee Boggs

I can't find the pilot on the Terriers site or hulu. Sadness.

The pilot is free on iTunes, at least right now. Download is in progress.
