I doubt the Dollhouse would intentionally hire echo out for a job like this where they stand a high risk of losing their investment. Think Keeslar hired her under false pretenses, pretending to be an extreme hiking enthusiast when he really wanted to hunt the most dangerous game?

I think that's the fatal flaw, there. If there's something that's not getting "erased" so that the active can retain the memory of trusting their handler, then that's probably how artifacts can get left behind...

This is a much better episode than the first, imo. It feels more Jossverse.
