The car was easily the best part of the show.
Not good:
- Stereotypical casting
- Clunky dialogue
- Bad actors, particularly the villains
- A plot which consisted of, I swear to god, the villains chasing the heroes around for TWO HOURS, and the four confrontations that ensued when they caught up with them each time.
I hope I'm not spoiling anything here.
Well, apparently for the movie, they're making KITT a FORD. (eye roll to infinity) I'm guessing they didn't do that for the new show?

Oh, yeah, it's a Ford. I forget what kind, but there was a whole bizarre series of commercials with the hero of the show trying to go out on a date while driving a Ford Focus, and KITT stalking him. And cockblocking. Swear to god.
I'd say more about the gratuitous Knight Rider lesbian, but I watch Torchwood and have no leg on which to stand.
No, it was bad in the first few minutes. When we first see the baddies encounter the big brain, it's a painful and hackneyed scene. When the camera shows our introduction to the good guy muscle, it's pretty damn stiff as well.
Marshall Herskovitz talks about quarterlife: My So-Called Internetlife.
I watched because I couldn't not. But oh, the torment.
I am ita in this.
Knight Rider was that bad, huh? How do you screw that up?
Let me count the ways:
1. changing the car.
2. insufferable “hero” (the smirk with the two women in bed was awful, plus the whole cowardice of trying to run from his backers)
3. Allowing Hoff anywhere near the project
4. changing the car.
5. No one with an English accent*. Edward Mulhare, you are sorely missed. I would even take the sort of accent of William Daniels. Gravitas people
5a. Val Kilmer as KITT
6. Ridiculous “sexual tension” with the protagonists. Bitch, grow up, it was 10 years ago!
7. Stupid villain. No one wants to start a world war. Blackthorne, Blackwater [insert name of evil government contractor here] knows that incursions and military actions are good for business, but world wars aren’t.
8. CHANGING THE MOTHERFUCKING CAR.
* not counting the villain, sounded more South African to me.
I am very sad William Daniels is nowhere to be found.
I didn't watch Knight Rider as a kid, so I kind of enjoyed it. Plus, I'm have a huge hard-on for Mustangs. But everything else I agree with. That self-satified smirk made me go, "Yup. Don't care bout him."
I liked the Hoff appearance, but I have a weakness for those kind of trite and strained reunions.
What made Joe laugh was when I asked, "Hey - so the bald guy with the mustache from the first show - is this new white haired guy supposed to be him?"
"What bald guy with the mustache?"
"The one that always shows up and saved Hoff's behind."
t cricket, cricket
"That's Magnum PI, isn't it?"
"Yes. Yes it is."
