The Minearverse 6: Fiery Thread of Death

[NAFDA] "There will be an occasional happy, so that it might be crushed under the boot of the writer." From Zorro to Angel (including Wonderfalls, The Inside and Drive), this is where Buffistas come to anoint themselves in the bloodbath. Oh, and help us get Terriers dvds!

Wait, is this real-world child support, where the money goes to buy food for the kids, or MRA fantasyland child support where the women just buy Ferraris and cocaine? -Jessica

Knight Rider was that bad, huh? How do you screw that up?

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

Maybe word of mouth spread with people telling friends and relatives they had to see how crappy it was for themselves?

"I'm useless alone." // "We're all useless alone. It's a good thing you're not alone."

Knight Rider was that bad, huh?

It was actually worse than I expected.

You know, we could experiment and cancel football.

My brother said that he liked it. He thought it was purposefully campy and stupid. I couldn't see it. Through the pain.

It's a talking car that fights crime. I just don't get how you can screw that up. Like, you'd have to TRY to screw it up. We used to play Knight Rider when we were little kids and come up with good storylines for crying out loud.

"I'm useless alone." // "We're all useless alone. It's a good thing you're not alone."

The car was easily the best part of the show.

Not good:

  • Stereotypical casting
  • Clunky dialogue
  • Bad actors, particularly the villains
  • A plot which consisted of, I swear to god, the villains chasing the heroes around for TWO HOURS, and the four confrontations that ensued when they caught up with them each time.

I hope I'm not spoiling anything here.

when i die, please bake my ashes into a brick and use me to hit fascists.

Well, apparently for the movie, they're making KITT a FORD. (eye roll to infinity) I'm guessing they didn't do that for the new show?

Oh, yeah, it's a Ford. I forget what kind, but there was a whole bizarre series of commercials with the hero of the show trying to go out on a date while driving a Ford Focus, and KITT stalking him. And cockblocking. Swear to god.
