[NAFDA] "There will be an occasional happy, so that it might be crushed under the boot of the writer." From Zorro to Angel (including Wonderfalls, The Inside and Drive), this is where Buffistas come to anoint themselves in the bloodbath. Oh, and help us get Terriers dvds!

I'm not sure anyone is in love with Dollhouse at this point
On a personal note I think fans are far more interested in Buffy season 8 than Dollhouse at the moment. Once the Fox promo campaign runs in earnest, things will change. But right now post-Chosen Buffy is getting noticed a lot more than what ever Joss is cooking up next.
Ms Havisham would prefer a better photo, but it looks more like a lace pattern to her.
That was about the best photo we could find. (Does she think it's a lace pattern in a particularly fuzzy yarn which obscures the laciness?)
From Ms Havisham...
Check out Interweave Knits, Winter 2007, "Henley Perfected", make it short sleeve, leave out the buttons and knit the body in a 4x2 ribbing (or wider)... seems to me that would give you a similar look.
THanks!
The Save Dollhouse people are kinda on the nutty edge of fandom, so I don't think anybody is taking it too seriously. It's basically one or two people. That said, I basically took a giant leap back from Dollhouse as soon as they appeared, as nothing screams 'Fans too close to production' than saving the thing before people have, like, seen it.
Shir, I understand that feeling entirely. I had my parents lurking around my place a few months ago, and I made the mistake of indicating I might not be happy when my mum asked me. Dear lord. She ended up making me promise her I was, in fact, fine - or she wouldn't leave. I tried to point out how it's bullshit to make somebody promise something they're not, but - nope. That didn't work. I ended up promising I was okay, at which point my mum smiled and left, getting on with her nice life. And I got back to Googlin' nice ways to kill myself.
I think the service industry, big business culture which we now exist in effects our day to day lives. If somebody does something outside of being bright and cheery we internally freak out. Do we call the HR department? Oh, we can't do that outside a company.
I think a large part of society has forgotten about how things have been before - living hand to month, on the frontier.
On the other hand, my mom seems thrilled that I've been feeling angry and depressed recently, at least as long as I stay off ADs. I think it's supposed to make me open to growth, or something like that. I think it sucks, and is just making me open to misery and weight gain, but that's probably because I'm shallow and petty.
Kevin, I may be overreacting to your offhand comment because of my job, but if you are seriously (or even jokingly) considering suicide, please get help right away. There are lots of resources available to you.
