A topic for the discussion of Doctor Who, Arrow, and The Flash. Beware possible invasions of iZombie, Sleepy Hollow, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi, superhero, or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect adult content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.
Marvel superheroes are discussed over at the MCU thread.
Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.
Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.
This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.
Maybe they wanted to give Salli half an episode as her last? I guess everyone figures they can actually make a decent clip show, but do they not realise that unless you say something new (like the Andromeda episode) with the re-used footage you're just boring your loyal users and probably confusing your most casual ones?
And next time you show me Stark dying, please make more of it.
Did everyone get a rush of everyone's memories? That would be something it would take more than a moment to parse.
Didn't one series have a clip show with no premise a while back? Just "if you've heard about the show but never seen it here's what you need to know follow the new season". Which is fine, because if it is advertised as that, long time viewer can skip it, and it serves its purpose for new viewers or viewers who missed a lot. Of course TWOP can serve the same purpose more entertainingly...
Lost
has those all the time.
Lost did that, IIRC.
But I wouldn't equate that with most clip shows--I think of that as a recap. A clip show is where they don't aim to give you a catch up, but try to wrap a new narrative around old footage.
I can't see TWOP fulfilling the same purpose...it takes them 15 pages to cover 1 episode. I can't imagine them covering one or more seasons.
Eureka: The only thing I liked about the episode was when Allison said she didn't want to forget her daughter's birth. I thought it was a nice call back to the alternate timeline episode where Allison was pregnant and said she didn't want to forget about that baby and her life with Carter.
I was delighted that DH was home to see Eureka because he hadn't seen the show in a very long time. Alas, he ended up confused and bored and fell asleep watching. He hadn't seen the clips before and out of context it was a jumble.
I have this week's Warehouse 13 to watch this weekend. Here's hoping it is good fun or he will abandon me to watch SwhyFwhy all alone.
I liked W13 this week, but I think you both will be irritated by one character's actions.
I still didn't finish the pilot episode of the show, but since the 3rd ep forward I have liked it.
I thought this week's Warehouse 13 was the best episode yet.
Apart from my problems with Artie, I had logistical problems with the episode. The team confirms that it's not really Myka because she doesn't know the ferret's name, so she doesn't take on any of Myka's memories--but not only is she doing a good enough impersonation of Myka to fool everyone, she's integrating into the 21st century seamlessly, driving and everything.
Powerful mojo.
As for nitpicking this week's Eureka, Jack didn't use the memory capture unit, right? So Allison decided to store the memory of him telling her that Stark died? Who stored the memory of Stark actually dying?
